    Afternoon everyone :)

Apologies for my lack of check in yesterday - was a loooong day and not back until really late. Thank you so much everyone for your wishes too... Date number 3 planned. Alas, Calling, no brother :( It's a minefield I know!!!.

To all those suffering from hayfever - does the olde remedy of buying local honey work? I've heard great things...

    Today/Yesterday I am grateful for:
    • Beautiful weather which lifted my spirits
    • For having a car and the freedom it brings
    • For having internet access
Yesterday ended up being a spend day as I left my packed lunch at home, and today was a planned spend day for a top-up shop.

Today = NSD count remains at 2.

I'm using the new PayQwik app at Tresco :) as it gives you 50 free points for each shop (for the first 10 shops) up until the 7th May (500 points equates to £5). I always do the online survey (at the bottom of the receipt too = 25 points), and my shopping goes on my Tresco Credit Card (which I clear each month) for an additional 1 point (on top of the usual points for having a club card)for every £4 spent I think... It all adds up :D

Going to stay in tonight and balance the books and adjust signatures. Aiming for 2 NSDs over next two days.

    Laters ;)

Not much to report really - wake up, go to work, come home, cook, clean go to bed.

    My life is riveting!!!

Have booked a wedding hair trial in two weeks - hope I like her - currently has a deal for wedding day - bride and 3 maids £60 for wedding hair. I'm liking the sound of that!

Today I am grateful for exploring a new place with dd, for my washing machine, for the sunshine, for birdsong, for good books, for a quick chat with my big sis, for getting a small knitting project started, for dd being invited in to watch Annie with a friend, for my notebook for jotting down thoughts and plans, for dd having more energy than yesterday.

Sending ((hugs)) to those also suffering with hayfever.

Abundant - local honey works for me but unfortunately the only man in the village who kept bees and sold the honey has moved away. I was distraught when I saw his bungalow up for sale.
Maybe I ought to get my own hive and do my own honey?!?!?

Had a spend day today, had such a sore throat that I brought a drink to have at the hospital and also succumbed to the dreaded chocolate this afternoon.

Tomorrow will also be a spend day as meeting my work colleague again for coffee and cake.

Just off to find something else to declutter - ooh just remembered a jumper I have put to one side ready so will add to charity bag and take that to work on Friday with me and get it dropped off.

Was going to post last night but fell asleep.
A lot of people seem to have hay fever.Touch wood I've never been affected. Sounds rather nasty.
Yesterday was a spend day £16.46,on fruit and veg.

Today was a NSD. Up to 4 now.
Found lots of stuff for fleabay,5 shoeboxes of craft stuff.Hopefully that will be decluttered soon.
Also have a few bits to gift to the local school.
Nothing else to say really, been a funny sort of day,but at least the stuff in the craft cupboard looks a bit tidier.:j

  • Evening everyone,

Have had a lazy day at home today, resulting in my second NSD of the month.

Been hitting the surveys sites and received two Cineworld e-codes from Valued Opinions. Planning to use them to see the new Fast and Furious and Guardians of the Galaxy movies when they’re released. Also managed a payout of £6.03 to my Paypal account.

Threw away 41 coat hangers today. They were from clothes I bought for the little one (not all at the same time mind!) but his stuff gets folded and put in drawers so no need for the hangers. Don’t know why I hung onto them in the first place. I’ve also bagged up 25 sleepsuits and 20 vests which are now too small for him and a charity will collect them on Friday.

Read a bit more of my library book, ‘The Girl Before’, which I’m enjoying even though it got some iffy reviews. Clearly, I’m not fussy. Oh, and I managed to sneak in a cup of tea at the same time. Result.

Crafts this afternoon - Easter bonnets so I spent a lot of time cutting and bending wired flowers. Sewing whilst watching old films yesterday and this evening.

Today I am grateful for the daisies in the churchyard (glad they haven'y cut the grass too), for easy undemanding company and for John leCarre (and Dirk Bogarde).

A spend day today - met my sister for coffee and got some more marg.

Tackled the huge ironing pile while watching catch up TV. Made some scones using almond milk which taste lovely and also made some mackerel pate which will do for lunch over the next few days.

    Evening all
Gosh I had a stinker of a day yesterday. Thankfully normal service has resumed today.
I'm really pleased to read that the dates are going well Abundant. Hope that this continues for you :D
I'm struggling my way to the end of term and have just about made it. This time tomorrow the holidays will have started and I really need them. I'm desperately trying to get all my marking done so that I don't have to bring any home, but I've got 4 sets of exam papers as well as books so not much hope.
Other than that, no time to get out spending money or anything luxurious like that....
