    Hi JWIL

Sorry to hear you've been ill. I had the lurgy too and have never been as exhausted in my life - it was similar to when I had severe anaemia. It affects mood too - so don't beat yourself up for feeling down.

You are doing amazing on decluttering and ebaying etc. Glad the party went ahead.

Don't blame you on the unpaid leave. I am trying to convince OH that I should take a week's unpaid leave but he isn't keen - I am allowed to spread it over the year as part of a salary sacrifice scheme....

It really has wiped us out, it's not pleasant!

I can do salary sacrifice too, but I decided just to take the hit as it was spread over 2 months anyway, and I can't really afford to have lower wages for the whole year as I've got to pay extra childcare during the summer holidays.

Jwil look at your pots! You're doing wonderful! That's amazing.
Maybe you can set out a gauntlet with mr jwil - whoever sells it gets the cash. Might put a fire up his bum to shift it.
Are you ready to make some more cheeky offers? You've got the money to do it. Can't believe how much it's come down already. I'm sure you can bring it down more. X

Thank you :) It's all DH's stuff, I can't sell it. I can just [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] 'encourage' him to get on with it :D

I've only got the 1k for offers and 1k emergency fund. I don't want to wipe that out, so I'm going to leave it for this year. I'll have extra cash next year as little miss will get her free hours, and also if they've been getting £1 a month for a couple of years, then they might be more amenable to lower offers :D

Great thinking JWIL .... totally agree that the longer they're getting £1 a month the more likely they are to be reasonable about your offer. :D

Thank you, hopefully! I'd like to have enough to make a cheeky offer on my largest debt, so I'll have to wait for a bit longer. One of my smaller ones has been sold on again though, so more realistic.

Feeling rubbish again. Little jwil was also complaining about feeling ill, but packed him off to school as he perked up considerably when he thought he was having a day off!

So fed up with this at the moment, it seems to be never ending with someone ill in the house. Is there anything we can do to boost our health? We eat a reasonable diet (not perfect) but plenty of fruit and veg. The kids love those probiotic drinking yoghurts so have them most days. Doctor told me not to waste time with vitamins, but I wonder whether I should  Maybe it's just a bad year, and because little jwil has started school, but this seems to have been ongoing since September.

I am generally of the opinion that a little bit of dirt is good for you, but this is just making me want to bleach the whole house and it's still not having an effect.

    Any suggestions gratefully received!

I agree that dirt is good ;). But when someone in the house is sick, then I dig out some antibac gel and make sure everyone is obsessive about hand washing. It's the only time I stress about it.

My DH also swears by Berocca. Though those are expensive and Aldi does a good version.

Thank you :) I'll have a look at Berocca or cheaper alternatives! I'm obsessive about handwashing when there are bugs around too.

Got up this morning to find the boiler wasn't working. It needed repressurising so Google helped do that :T It also suggested there might be a leak, and there was some liquid around the valves, so I'm wondering if that's the case. A bit annoying, as it was only serviced a month ago! I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Well yesterday DH received a letter from the police saying that no further action will be taken, and no one is being prosecuted :T :T :T What a flipping relief! That will be passed to his insurance co and they can deal with anything else thankfully!

One item sold yesterday on BIN. Today we've got a few things going out. I must say it's been nice to have a bit of a break from eBay but must get back to the decluttering now.

That is good news that no further action is being taken. What a weight off your mind. And good that you are back on the ebay listing. I need to do some more. I have a list of what to sell next but really can't be bothered to do all the photographing, describing etc. But then I really want to clear out the house and make some money so I will have to have another listing day. Maybe this weekend because three of the kids are going to their dads this weekend.

    Keep going with the decluttering!
