We did the boot sale yesterday and got rid of some more stuff. Didn't manage to go through it all so might do that over the winter. We don't want to run out of room to put new stuff! :D

Got a letter from Tax credits yesterday and they've finally updated the information correctly. Our overpayment is now £1400

It's horrible isn't it :( Our tax credits for this year have stopped, and they reckon they'll get it back from next year, but I'm not sure we'll be entitled to any :(

  • Our tax credits have stopped too for this year :( I'm hoping we'll be able to manage without them. We should be able to claim them again in April 2018, depending upon our income. But I think we would be moved onto Universal Credit then and I haven't heard good things about that :(

However I hope that we can raise our income sufficiently so that we don't need them by then.

    Slowly but surely...

   OMFG, I have had a letter from debt no 3 saying that they have closed my account and I owe nothing????????? That is an account I have CCA'd and they haven't responded. It's also the one I have a ppi claim on

It also says they will remove it from my credit record.

It's as a result of my recent correspondence which must mean my 'going it alone' letter.

I cannot believe that, I will not believe it until I see it
