Honey_Bear wrote: »Thanks Lamewolf. Your pain be gone vibes seem to have done the trick along with a few things I've done here to ease him through - every single thing helps. The vet has started him on paracetemol in addition to the NSAID he takes every day and if they don't knock it on the head, he'll be on Tramadol. He still wants to bounce, still leaps about when he thinks he's going for a walk and then afterwards he's in so much pain I can't bear it. Cottage cheese stuffed Kongs seem to be distracting him a bit, so all I've got to worry about now is that he doesn't get the runs. Lesser of two evils, and a dose of Prokolin or whatever it's called.
Even though I've never met him, I feel like I know the little chap.:o:o
Hospital went ok yesterday, we're at the stage of lifelong medication now to manage pain and symptons (well DH is!), so more explorations over the next few weeks while we find out what works for him. Hopefully it won't take too long as the constant pain is wearing him down.
Mrs MP I am so pleased your bracelet has turned up - I assume one of the house-wights borrowed it?
Really, I didn't ought to be posting on here, as Flying has almost ground to a halt; I must make sure I'm fit enough to look after a bouncy Staffie next week, so I'm trying (not always succeeding though) to pace myself better than I usually do.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
(((Hugs))) to Jazee and pain-free vibes to your DH.
High-five to mrs-mp re the bracelet :j
FFP, I hope your application gets you an interview.
I am joining Valli in the cage, having re-decluttered 2lb this week (after putting on 2.5 last week).
DH managed to lose 3lb :A He's under strict instructions not to eat more than one piece of cake this afternoon at the church tea!
After SW I drove over to "my" NT property to collect my volunteer's card. We are going away before I actually do a shift there, and I need it for all the NT lunches we shall be having on holiday.
Also took a pair of unwanted trousers back to the outlet where I bought them last Friday and got a full refund, having decided they just weren't "me".
I have finished all the reading I'm doing for my essay and am now at the planning stage. Won't get much done this afternoon, but will aim for a couple of hours' work this evening.
Off to empty bins and hoover downstairs before I go out - the kitchen floor looks a right mess :eek:0 -
MrsMP glad you have your braclet back where it belongs.
Long drive done today, it was very foggy, looking out to sea you would never have known there was a wind farm, so much fog.

Hi all x
I've kinda failed at the bedroom task. I started by sparking joy into my underwear drawer then cleared the junk out of one of my wardrobes and then joyified my other wardrobe. So cleaning 0 chucking 1 CS 3 (bin bags that is) and DD has gained a couple of summer tops that I can't get into!
Dinner is on, late as I was putting the wardrobe back together.
LR has had a quick tidy as has the scullery
OH helped me bring in the washing when the rain came on, it's now in the TD.
Off to feed the minions.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Glad the bracelet is back where it belongs Mrs MP.
Belated sympathetic ((hugs)) to YL. I understand completely where you're coming from - I'm at a very similar sounding place, for possibly similar reasons.
((Hugs)) to Jazee.
Bed stripped and remade, dusty bits swiped. Managed to ignore the landing completely. WM run, and DW currently doing its thing.
DD decided to cook tonight as it was just me and her :A. I've just finished putting the kitchen back to rights. Still it was a tasty tea, and very healthy for a change.
Am now writing the hugest of shopping lists in the hope that I can escape work early tomorrow and slip to the shops. I've been feeding us out of the freezer and cupboards as much as possible, but I really need a restock. And the cleaning bits are running out - there's a sentence I don't say very often :rotfl:0 -
Evening! Minimal flying but at least I have done something - WM just finishing, WU and cleared and cleaned kitchen sides. Not managed to reduce the work list thoughNarc0lepsy wrote: »Froddington yes it's disheartening when the list gets longer. Just do the next thing in the world that has to be done and don't focus on anything else till that is done. Apart from the prospect of lemurs.
Thanks Narco - I am very excited (and a little bit nervous) - it's come round so quickly:D
Mrs MP - so pleased for you x
Jazee - hugs for you and positive thoughts for DH x
LW - gentle virtual hugs for you x

Dizzy crawls in, dragging her bruised and battered body along the floor...leaving a trail of blood behind her...
Well, perhaps not quite that bad, but getting that way
I'm lurking ATM. Think I broke my back and hip lifting stuff so the builders can get on... currently on mind-altering pain killers and being a lazy mare. Oh, and DH and I nearly separated last week due to stress and poor communication.
Feeble flapping will follow shortly.
Hugs to anyone in need. Have read thread but got brain fog.0 -
Dizzy, hugs for you my lovely. I don't know how you cope with all that life throws at you.
Morning everyone. I'm going to catch up with the bedroom jobs today. My new fitted wardrobes have their first anniversary this week. I said I'd always keep them tidy but.......
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
