Kelpie's leg is giving him real gyp this mornning and nothing I can do is calming him down, poor little sod. OH is convinced that when we see the vet this afternoon they'll be able to prescribe stronger painkillers and all will be well. I'd love to be able to think that.
Pain-begone energy on it's way; poor little fella.
I may not get anything else done today (my own fault - three days running doing work in the garden) but that I can do.

Kitchen surfaces wiped, fronts of cupboards wiped down, oven wiped (it's fairly new, so doesn't take too long!)
I have also got dinner on the go. I need to clear a hot spot now!

Thanks Lamewolf. Your pain be gone vibes seem to have done the trick along with a few things I've done here to ease him through - every single thing helps. The vet has started him on paracetemol in addition to the NSAID he takes every day and if they don't knock it on the head, he'll be on Tramadol. He still wants to bounce, still leaps about when he thinks he's going for a walk and then afterwards he's in so much pain I can't bear it. Cottage cheese stuffed Kongs seem to be distracting him a bit, so all I've got to worry about now is that he doesn't get the runs. Lesser of two evils, and a dose of Prokolin or whatever it's called.

Fayolle if you're able to join us that would be fab. Would you be up for it next Monday? Any preference regarding Totnes or Plymouth?

Oven finished, shelves sparkly, base no longer lumpy, all good.
    Better is good enough.

Wrong room/day but did a blitz in the lounge involving a duster and a vacuum cleaner plus decluttering elves as I have a student arriving imminently.
    - did Clubbercise
    - cancelled roadside assist as new car comes with it
    - finished and emailed report
    - emptied DW
    - got washing in
    -re-potted a blueberry bush.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Hello all,

I was awol all last week, why I just don't know! The house certainly does not look any better for it!

Today was a long day at work, so I'm just concentrating on the daily stuff.

Thanks for the list Natty, and for last week Valli (even though I didn't do any of it!)

Well done to all slimmers, I've put weight on I'm afraid, despite exercising much more over the last few weeks.

    welcome back Good Intentions x

Jazee hope the hospital went OK.

I would be certainly interested in a Yorkshire flymeet this summer (but also a bit scared)

Well done Valli :T I'm never going to be a slimmer of any month - I got home from work and for some reason came over all domestic....have made a cake and cheese scones! I got fed up with the cake tin being empty and DD ferreting about for something to eat when she comes in from school. And that, my dears, is my excuse and I'm sticking to it :rotfl:
So my entire flying has been to wipe the kitchen surfaces numerous times, sweep the floor and put the rubbish out for the morning. WM has been run, and I emptied the ironing pile first thing this morning. I'm just going to catch up with the fred, and then maybe treat myself to watching last week's Mary Berry. With cake of course ;)
HB - thank you so much for the kind welcome and invitation. I have to work next week as I'm banking up hours for the school holidays the week after, and to cover a hospital appointment with DD later this week. But if you have another south / south west meet, I'll do my best.

Please someone give me a slap/kick up the bum or both. I do way too much for my kids and although DS1 will help if he feels like it (he does enjoy cooking) they both take me for granted. Have just had an argument with DS1 and I know this is my own fault because I need to make them both do more but for some reason I just find it really hard. Sigh.

Anyhow, both lots of paid stuff done with a gym session in between. 1 load of washing dried, ironed and put away. Kitchen cleaned and tidied, cupboards swished. Bathroom swished. Yet another load of laundry ready to go on. I will sweep and mop floors in a minute.

Well done Valli and FBO how did we not know that you went scuba diving? Very exciting hobby (says the woman who cant swim and doesnt like water).

Right, floors swept, pjs on, quick look at online banking then bed. Not sleeping well.
