I received a letter from Link today. I had written to them informing them that I'd be self managing my DMP from now on and also that I'd be making £1 payments from June-August and then pick up the original amount I had been paying to them via SC. The letter they sent did not really acknowledge what I had written, all it contained was asking me for a breakdown of my income and expenditure. I don't want to send them this, I want to stick to what I want to pay. Do I really need to send this? Looks like I can make payments online to them via their website. Do you think I should just go ahead and do as I planned but ignore the letter they sent?
Also, had an email from PRA Group. They had already sent emails to say the debts were unenforceable so not sure why they sent this email... look like they are still trying to find the paperwork:
Thank you for your recent correspondence. Following your query, we have contacted our original client Barclays to provide further information regarding this. We have previously provided the documentation that we were sent by Barclays Bank PLC but we are still awaiting further documentation.
As PRA Group UK Limited do not hold the information internally, we have held your account until our client is able to provide the documentation applied for.
During this time you will receive no further letters or calls. We are unable to provide a definitive timescale as to how long the response may take, but assure you that all is being done to resolve this matter as soon as possible, and we will be in contact in due course to bring this matter to a conclusion.
Should I be concerned about this at all?

I last week sent all my creditors letters saying i'm self managed and asking for their details so I can setup standing orders etc, but I actually sent my I&E letter with all of them. It was basically the same as what was on Step change web site.0 -
I wrote to Barclaycard regarding irresponsible lending (saw an article on DebtCamel), but I just had a call to say they are not upholding the complaint.
I requested interest and charges back, but she said there's no reason for the complaint.
My credit limit went from £3000 in 2014 and ended up at £11000 in 2016.
Yet she said that I shouldn't have spent and my account was well managed!!!
I may consider going to the ombudsman
I only paid the minimum payment and have had a few charges from going over my credit limit.0 -

I've always sent the I&E generated by NEDCAB DMP to all my creditors - I still told them I was only paying £1 for x months and would pay them the amount identified on the I&E after that period. They were all fine with this.
Edit: Forgot to add - don't worry about the PRA / BC stuff. Don't make any payments until they do produce enforceable documentation - the longer they take, the less likely it is they will be unable to do so.DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
Well hello!
Commenced DMP with Stepchange in October 2013. After recently writing to Lloyds to ask them to consider to changing the default date from December 2014 to March 2014 they wrote back with the most strangest of replies.
Its lengthy but here is a quote from Para 3: "I am unable to agree we should be reporting a default date of 30 March 2014"
and from para 10 "However, to assist moving forward I have agreed to meet your request. I have arranged to back date the default to 30 March 2014 in line with your other creditors...."
Odd, but Hey! Result! Well, actually there's more.
Para 4 "I can see that you have received some poor customer service......to put this right and for the inconvenience you have experienced I've enclosed a cheque for £150"
Thanks Lloyds.0 -
Set up my DMP with barclaycard, £50 per month for a year and then review. In this time I hope to 'snow ball' a smaller debt and clear that then I'll have an additional £400 per month in 10 months to pay my other debt with. Think I need to set a signature with my progress to keep me motivated. My one over time shift for the month has been done now too, feeling much more positive about it all now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Statement in post today from Santander today, just realised I am paying more than their minimum requested payment on this account so should be good on credit record. Will adjust my letter to them and continue paying the agreed amount (interest has been stopped which is strange but I'm not going to complain
), I don't want to rock the boat!

Twins I sent our I&E using the NECAB form with each of the letters telling them I was paying £1 for the foreseeable future due to emergency car repairs. There was more than this surplus showing on our budget but they've all been fine so far. I have had letters back from everyone after sending CCA requests stating they have put our account on hold and will endeavour to send the info within 12 days. I find it amazing they find this so difficult, but I am really hoping they can't provide them. The only ones not to reply are Nationwide who have yet to sell the debt on, so maybe they will just send them straight out.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Thanks Julie. I went onto NEDCAB earlier and dowloaded my I&E so that's ready to go off to those who request it. Funny thing is that the I&E from NEDCAB works out my monthly payments as slightly lower than I had with SC? So I guess I'll have to tell them the payments are a bit less than planned but to be honest I plan on overpaying where I can to clear the debt faster.
I'm anxiously waiting replies from all the other creditors. They do like to take their time don't they *sigh*.
Hope you're ok after today's events. Really puts things in perspective doesn't it x0 -

Hi Twins
When we did the NEDCAB I&E we pushed every category to the max allowed. This massively reduced the payments we made to creditors when compared to what we had been paying through SC. None of the creditors queried the change. They just accepted the new I&E.
When you input a figure into the I&E form it will inform you if the figure is considered too high. We just put in a high figure for each category and adjusted down until there were no 'warnings'.
What this did for us was to allow to save for F&Fs.
