Great thanks for that. I have emailed them covering the DMP and Stepchange with an attached copy of the letter. I just cant have them ringing me at work like that and cant exactly answer my mobile at work either.
I would just block their no's, that would stop them from hassling you anymore. :j0 -
HI everyone,
so here's the overview....
I am £9700 in debt over 3 credit cards, an overdraft, 4 short term loans from Lending Stream and a catalogue account.
I have sent up a DMP with Stepchange which should see me out of debt in 2 years and 11 months.
Last night I ignored the panic inside and finally came clean with my other half about my debt, it didn't go as well as it might have done but I guess I will just need to see how it plays out. She is understandably hurt that I've been lying to her for years and this isn't the first time I've had a debt issue. Last time around, she found out about it and things were rough for about a year. Things have been really good between us for the past year and we had planned to get married this coming July. I have gone through everything with her and been completely transparent but I think at the very least the wedding will be postponed, hopefully nothing worse.
That's about it for now, I will keep reading all your posts and occasionally I may post an update or two. It's rough right now but it can only get better right?
on a side note... I have also put in a PPI claim against Capital One as I have been paying PPI for 8 years on a credit card... PPI that I didn't even know I was paying for (Wish me luck).
If anyone has any suggestions for things I can look into that might help boost my savings to possibly go self managed and pay off debts earlier than I would be hugely appreciative.

This is my first post, so please be gentle with me. I would like to post about starting a DMP, but there does not appear to be any recent posts. Am I in the wrong place?
Thank you!0
