    Hi SMF2

As 'energy queen' ;) I hope you don't mind me asking you a question. Someone has recently told me that if you leave a mobile phone charger in the electric socket is still uses electricity even if the switch on the socket is in the off position. I recently changed my mobile and when it is fully charged it also shows a message advising the charger be taken out of the socket etc so this seems to support what I was told.

So... do you know if this is true? Must admit I've been taking charger out of the socket ever since just in case but for years in the past I've always just left it plugged in :o

My charger certaily still generates heat when switched on so it must be using energy still even though my phone is not plugged in.

If the wall switch is off, nothing is flowing therefore it's not using power. My TV is on a fused socket so cannot be unplugged, bit it's always switched off at the socket.

I finally got round to booking the eye test48px-Face-glasses.svg.png Got a free eye test using a boots voucher linked to my club card - saving £20. I need reading glasses (which I suspected) and I've ordered 2 pairs at a cost of £183:eek: Of course both pairs were reduced ;) - a nice pair of Laura Ashley frames and a DK pair....really like them and now I can't wait for to get them:p

Got lots of birthdays in May plus the glasses plus the balance to pay on a school trip, plus eldest needs a couple of pairs of new jeans as he's grown out of his current ones plus eldest needs some music equipment ......sooooo May will be a bit of a tight month for me but all my bedding plants are in so no more gardening expenses for the year. Well not unless I see something that I just can't resist LOL *must be good, must be good*

    :D
