They have asked for a reference from my landlord too . Not sure what they can say really ? My neighbour officer doesn’t even know us ?

Ours went in the week of August Bank Holiday and we are still waiting valuation was done and all OK on the 22nd ish of September. Keep worrying its going to be a no after all this time. 
We have sent them and answered everything required just waiting. Broker has chased again today. 🤞

After a long 8 weeks my broker called at 5.30 tonight to say we have an offer!!!!

How strict are Kensington mortages on affordability I have spent a lot recently and it shows in my bank statements. I think I can afford it as I only have a £250 overdraft so not like I am in debt

Hi guys,

We are just about to submit an application with Kensington and I was wondering about the evidence for the 3 months of mortgage payments incase they ask for it. 

I currently pay £850 per month into savings account and a further £200 into a HTB ISA. This total amount would be more than the monthly mortgage repayment amount so would evidence of these savings be enough to cover the 3 months mortgage payments or do they want to see the lump sum of 3 months worth of mortgage payments?

We have a mortgage application in with Kensington since 30th September had the valuation 16th November and still no offer should we be concerned? Is anyone else experiencing delays ?   Thanks J

We are waiting too.. our application went in on 2nd November still no valuation, the wait is painful and so stressful. You should chase your broker?

Yes I have chased the broker and they tell me they are taking 8 working days to assess any documents and the only positive I think is that they have done a 2nd credit check on Monday so hoping we are on the final stages.

A second credit check? Oh gosh, we are in the same boat had to submit another months bank statement and payslips and having to wait the 8 days.. I was told they are quick to decline people so perhaps it’s a good thing we are still going through it? Hope you hear something soon.
