For anyone waiting a while, I sent them a message on Facebook yesterday morning just explaining how long we had waited and received an offer by 2.30pm the same day!
thats interesting that they took notice of Facebook!!

So just an update on ours for anyone still waiting, we applied just over 6 weeks ago. Had a nightmare with our broker really, he wasn't communicative at all. Couple of requests for more documents, nothing we didn't have. After reading here we asked him about the 3 months mortgage payments in savings, he said he's double checked and because are jobs aren't at risk of redundancies due to COVID we don't need to do that. We asked him multiple times. Any way, he told us last wednesday that are case was due for final review on friday. We didn't hear anything, we chased Monday and yesterday, just got his standard voicemail. Called again this morning and his voicemail says that he has "left the business". Cue major panic, called the office and spoke to someone who chased Kensington - guess what - we need 3 months mortgage payments! You couldn't make it up but i think the issues were all with our broker TBH. so we are evidencing the 3 months payments and hopefully we'll see an offer soon!1

Hi
Finally after a long 6/7 weeks we got our offer today. We used Like Financial and I won’t lie their communication is awful. My question is this, from receiving the offer how long does it take to complete ?
We’re doing a straight remortgage not moving home.Thank you0 -
Ok I'm new here so be nice!
My fiancée and I are first time buyers. We have 20% deposit and purchasing for £190,000. We are relatively straight forward. both employed full time, no previous tenancies etc. My credit score is not great due to historic debt incurred when I was a student. I now have no debt as this was all paid off 2+ years ago. My fiancée's credit file is squeaky clean. Anyway, we initially applied with Clydesdale; they agreed our case and strung us along for 6 weeks before declining. They declined due to adverse credit which they were made aware of and agreed on day 1. As you can imagine, heartbroken, furious and our broker even more so. We have no submitted application with Kensington and am hoping it goes a little more smoothly (high hopes I know). We are not having any pressure from the chain yet but we are essentially 6 weeks behind now due to Clydesdale. I am a Solicitor and have done all the Conveyancing so we are ready to go in that respect. You all know how stressed I'm feeling!
6 August 2020 - Application submitted to Kensington
12 August 2020 - Kensington asking for further documentation i.e. P60's, gifted deposit letter (seems like the norm)
19 August 2020 - Kensington advised they are having trouble getting hold of Pink Move Estate Agents to book valuation.
I'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED - Good luck x

Thanks guys. We’re now 5 weeks in, responded to each request under 24 hours, it’s the 3/4/5 day wait each time new documents are submitted that are really frustrating. I’ve been told to expect an update on Friday (positive or negative I just want closure now)0
