    So I'm finally joining!
We had our Agreement in principle a while ago, but couldn't find a house to buy. Have finally found one and have had a cheeky offer accepted
    Exciting times!

So now we start the scary journey!

Husband's credit is fine, but he has debt, 2 loans, one I pay for, one he pays. He has no defaults or anything.

Mine was a bit more colourful, but now has 1 5 year old default. I am already anticipating them asking me to settle this.
    I have very little debt.

I'm hopeful but super scared :rotfl:

Thanks anfieldred.. have you heard anything yet?

Why are you sure it won't go through?
Fingers & toes crossed for you.

Nope still nothing. It's been about 10 days since they asked for proof of the loan they were disputing, and since they've said about 4 times they'll have a decision by the end of the day, and haven't come back to us since.

Good luck! some people have had fast turnarounds to be fair - think it's just how complex your case is. I just rang for an update and there's still no reply - it's 3 weeks since my valuation on weds. Got told that was ok, so I genuinely have no idea what's going on now.

What is your mortgage broker saying about it all?
I would say no news is not a no - to you! Although I know myself, I would be just the same as you!

Broker is chasing them for an answer - before the valuation they were turning things around quickly, and since then it's just gone quiet.
