Balance transfer back and forth?

I've Googled this to death but am still unsure. Therefore apologies if this is an obvious question.
Can you transfer a balance from one card to another and back again?
Eg almost a year ago we paid £750 car insurance on a barclaycard and transferred this to an MBNA card to take advantage of the MBNA 0% balance transfer offer. That balance is almost paid off but we need to make another large insurance payment as have purchased a second car. Can I purchase the policy on the MBNA card, then transfer that new card balance onto the barclaycard which now has a decent 0% offer on it. Or will it be a problem that we have previously transferred the barclaycard balance onto the MBNA card and we are essentially transferring debt back?
I can't see why it would be a problem but want to be sure as may change how we buy the policy if we can't.
Thanks in advance.
