not sure if it would work once garment has been washed but you could try it. squirt some hairspray on it - it works on upholstery. The garment factory I used to work at used acetone (nail varnish remover - but it must be oil free!) or even some carpet stain remover. but, I am fairly sure that Stain Devil do a ball point ink remover, if all else fails.
  • Try metholated spirits, worked on my husband's shirt pocket.
    Normal people worry me.

There's a Stain Devil for pen and felt tip inks. Might be worth a try.

  • Shout works where Vanish fails, if you can scrounge a couple of sprays from a neighbour - I'd lend you mine if you were next door. You're not are you?

A remedy that I have used and seems to work ok when the ink is fresh is to soak the stain in milk. Leave the stain submerged in the milk overnight and then wash as normal - a tip that came from my granny many years ago.

Hairspray works! I had a bit of a mare a few days ago with ink all over the new suite.

I have read that washing it does set the stain though so it may be stubborn. Give the hairspray a try and use plenty of it close up and blot it a couple of times before rubbing at it, i used a microfibre cloth.

    Good luck!
