Barclays "Suspend" My Life, Stranding me in Europe. The Dark Side Of Working Remote

The possibility of this happening is why I have accounts with several banks in all the countries I do more in than just visit, and always keep reasonable amounts of cash on hand.
If you are a marketer, I hope you have learned that the "cashless society" is not in anybody's interests except banks, and that you use your skills to fight against those who wish everyone's lives to be controlled by banks.0 -
Kodoco & Kologo are very similar.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Report it to the European Court of Human Rights ASAP xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

It's good to have all the facts but people tend to nod off reading a post like this or get bored half way through. It could have been condensed into a couple of paragraphs, the replies will mostly be the same as you've probably found. Never leave yourself with access to only one bank account, whether abroad or at home.
Bad news is that Barclays can take as long as they like to complete their checks. Twitter and Facebook wan't change anything.0 -
Humm, a desperate story, but not that desperate.
You took the time to link your website before you posted? Wonder why anyone would do that
Doubt anyone on here will be interested in your services . . .

Exactly. Think he's trying to create an audience.
You are pseudo-intellectuals living in an utterly narrow world. I didn't link my website; I linked to an article relating to this that shows images to back the story up. I joined the forum solely to seek advice of those who are less inept in this field than I. Not to listen to some keyboard warrior imbeciles deriving conspiracy theories in their heads. If you do a little research, the last thing I need is anyone on here to provide me with business. What I am here for is advice.
Thanks.0 -

[Update] - My banking was reinstated earlier today upon speaking to the fraud department team in Coventry whom sympathised with me; however it was short lived, less than 3 hours later. I'm back in the same situation; except this time I have access to mobile banking; but all of my funds have been removed, quoting Ref Northa ADV. I'm currently on hold AGAIN, and have been told it could be up to an hour before a member of their team gets to me.0 -
Does Northa ADV mean anything to you....or anyone?I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

Maybe it's the same place as this, from consumer action group:
hi my name is Adrian and i had the same problem like another people with BARCLAY'S BANK.
i had in my account 10,270.28 pound and 17,050.00 in day to day saving account
on 24-03-2011 i went to the branch to make an international transfer
They told me that it costs £25 for transfer.
the next day i checked online if the transfer was on its way but i was surprised when i find all my money from both account was missing, the balance was nil,
the money was transfered TO RECONCILE MANCHESTER PREMIER ADV in 25-03-2011,
i panicked and quickly went to the bank....
the manager didn't know what is going on..
she made a complain to the head office in London...
they said it will take 4-5 days for an answer because they had to escalate my case.
still no answer from them so far.
tomorrow is now 5 days.
is is ridiculous how in the 21st century this can happen
head office called me today and they told me they had no update
...i think the BARCLAY'S BANK is not secure any more.
can u give me somebody advise what should i do, pleaseI came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
After a bit more digging, I think Northa is Northampton and ADV is a transaction applied manually, rather than electronically.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0
