Just caught up with the thread. It moves so fast when you don't check in regularly!

Can't believe how good the weather is and it's looking as thought it's going to be pretty good all week!

Obviously won't be posting regularly this week but will read now and again. Food is mainly on plan as we are self catering although we will b eating out a couple of times where I won't be able to be so on plan although it obviously depends where we end up eating. There will be plenty of wine syns over the entire week though!

Today will be mainly on plan including making a shepherd's pie for dinner tonight which I'm looking forward to as it's one of the things I really enjoy.

    Morning all

I was planning to get up early this morning but the alarm didn't go off and DH woke me up at 9 with a cup of tea. I use an old mobile phone as an alarm clock as the alarm still works when it's switched off so the battery lasts ages. Yesterday I moved the time on 1 hour and for some reason it added an hour to the alarm too. Good job we weren't catching a bus!

Anyway, I weighed myself before drinking the tea and the result was STS. I'm quite thankful actually as a sneaky peak on Thursday was showing a gain.

Is everyone prepped for the week ahead? I have half a meal plan sorted, now off to try and get some inspiration from the internet! x

I wish! The next few days are a complete unknown as far as food is concerned. We'll have eggs and toast for breakfast tomorrow and I'll take some fruit to snack on en route so hopefully we won't need a meal until we get dinner at the hotel. We're doing a stopover in Burgos and spending the following day in the city so definitely breakfast there, and as The ferry doesn't leave until 9.15pm we'll need to eat before we board, so we'll either have a late menu del dia in Burgos or an early meal in Santander. Then we'll have breakfast on board and arrive Thursday teatime so we'll probably go to Morrisons on the way home to pick up essential supplies and may eat there or buy something easy to prepare when we get home. I really don't want to gain 7lbs like I did on the way here. :o
Lost 1lb at group yesterday and I have changed my target. Was originally 9st 12lb, so I've changed it to 10st exactly. I am happy with that and even when I do get to target, if I do slip down to 9st 12, then I will still be within my range.

Will stay next week, as I'm hoping to get to my target!

Well done. I assume your consultant was happy for you to adjust your target by less than 7lbs?

    Good luck for next week.

Good luck Kathryna for this afternoon.

    ...until I get back! :rotfl:

Right, better get on, lots to do.

    Have a good week everyone.

ETA p.s. just remembered, I told a friend I'd gained 7lbs on the way here and she suggested my scales might be different here so I could LOSE half a stone by next Monday. :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

I see we're all plodding along, should be easier as the days get longer - it is for me anyway.

Just realised I forgot to report in last week (sorry Shala) with a STS and this weeks weigh in is -2lbs.

Morning, I've not had too bad a weekend really...
Saturday, ended up going for a picnic for lunch and the tesco we went to had none of the low syn salads so used 16.5 syns
    Sunday 14 syns. We've started having BBQ's again :D!

    today so far...
B - an apple, then weetabix HEB and 1 syn for sugar, I tried sweetner... not a fan...
Lunch - 6 syns :o but worth it! Chorizo, and pesto pasta, with mushrooms onion and pepper for speed and some raspberries while I waited for it to cook
Dinner - I'm going to make sweet chilli chicken, and have stir fry with it.
( like the diet coke chicken, only using lemonade and cook the chicken in chilli and garlic first really tasty :) )

Snacks - 4.5 syns on thins, I have carrot sticks which are out of date so I better eat some of those up :) and theres some lovely looking strawberries in the fridge so maybe some of those with yogurt and mini meringues 4 for 2 syns (also out of date :/)

    Syns - 13.5
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....

hello all - hope everyone is doing well.

well the weekend wasn't too bad - I have definitely had worse. Back on plan 100% today but as it is star week I can't say I am hopeful for WI tomorrow.

Has anyone else tried the cathedral city spreadable that was in the most recent mag as a new HEA? I was surprised how nice it is and how much you can actually use for an HEA - definitely worth a go if (like me) you need something new to try - and spread over scan bran it made them much more enjoyable!

    Today:
    B: FF yogurt and blackberries
L: Super speed soup with spreadable cheese (HEA) on scan bran (HEB)
D: Fish and salad with lots of speed
Snacks - plums and choc bar (12.5 syns and totally worth it)

I made Speed soup yesterday - hubbie - whats that, me - speed soup, Hubbie - hmm looks like sick. Thanks darlin as thats what i was then thinking while eating it for lunch!

    Hello all :D

Tomorrow's menu is probably fine bubbs . Although you don't have any Speed with your dinner, you probably have enough across the day to make the third you need for EE.

We've all put the weight on in the first place by eating too much of the food that should be an occasional treat on a regular basis like chocolate or pizza or biscuits or crisps.
SW is designed as a long term healthy eating plan not a crash diet. The thinking is that if you don't have the occasional treat you'll be likely to feel deprived and give up.
If you really don't want syns as treats you could use them to vary your menu perhaps by adding cheese or nuts or milky coffee or other things with syns in them. Personally I save my syns to have wine at weekends.
So you don't have to use your full 105 syns a week if you don't want them but be careful not to get fed up with being too 'good' and having a relapse.

Hope that doesn't sound too preachy, it's just my take on the thinking behind SW.:)
No not preachy at all, but now im going out for a chinese friday:eek: so will save for then, picked friday as weigh in thurs:rotfl:
I will have some tomatoes with my tea and also have fruit for pudding, straw/kiwi/pear/satsuma and muller light:D
    I dont drink alcohol
Coffee is the drink of the devil:eek::rotfl::rotfl:

Bubbs - as maman says using syns is recommended. Some people do flexible syns for weekend treats or go under syns to allow for any accidents or errors with measurements (the latter is definitely me!)

I'm trying to have syns and occasional chocolate - some do treat plates everyday which for me is the reason I got fat, so I try and have 2 days of "food" and one day carp.

Think about how you could get "good" syns into your day I.e an extra wholegrain option - cereal as well as bread, nuts, olive oil, avocado etc.

    Tommorow menu -

Quark, raspberries grape nuts (half hxb)

Dinner - HM cauli and blue cheese soup, 2 ryvitas (half hxb) laughing cow hxa, tomato and ham.

Tea spanish chicken stew type thing with speed veg.

Will see for syns what I feel like
Its just i need to get sugar under control thats why im not having choc/carbs etc

That's a great idea to save syns for a Chinese bubbs . I find having something to look forward to at the weekend works better for me than a daily treat but each to his own and coffee certainly isn't compulsory!:rotfl:

Have a safe journey lois and glad to hear the sun is shining on you denise .

    Today's EE plan :
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: ham, fried veg, pickles
D :savoury mince, new potatoes, carrots. cabbage, peas
    Syns: none planned

ETA: Hope the scan was OK kathryna . Hopefully you'll get to see the consultant to discuss it in the next couple of weeks.

Scan wasn't too bad. Bruised arm from the tracer, and I get really claustrophobic so the scan aint great for that, but it's over now till next time.

I'm told I shouldn't have to wait too long for the results.
