  • Green tiger, - Bully's a big of a modern day legend for us (been tough the last 15 years or so!) Once went a season playing in every sing!e position! He came back to Sheffield after leaving Falkirk As he married a local girl, got a job at the academy and now part of the first team set up gets, his name sang at every away match when they all come (p!ayers and staff) to thank the travelling masses. Wasn't the best p!ayer but always put his body on the line and gave 100%.

    So back to the diet!

Feeling Rubbish after all the carp I have consumed in the last few days, I guess we really are what we eat, first time In ages I have felt a direct link to how I feel and what I have ate. Iguess you don't realise this until you make that change.

    So, new challenge, new start.

    Monday's menu

Breakfast rum quark, banana and raspberries.
Dinner HM veg soup, 2 ryvitas, 2 laughing cow triangles. Mini quiche 0.5 syns.
Teas, sausage casserole 4 syns, speed veg.

Then see what i Fancy for snacks.

Have done a bit of food prep today to get me back into it for the next few days.

Been trying to relax this evening. Had a nice soak in the bath then watched Call the midwife. Not feeling at all relaxed though. Bag is all packed. Kindle charged, mp3 player charged, and mobile on charge. Got some cereal bars, a banana and an apple in the bag, so I know I will have something edible with me if I need it.
    Scared :(

Trying to think positive. In 24 hours the procedure will be over with and in 48 hopefully I will be home.

Not a good start to the new challenge with a 'holiday' week the first week, but will try to get back on plan as soon as I can afterwards.

  • Thanks for the new thread Shala :) And thanks for being better at maths than me! Didn't realise just how close I was to making my target. That really cheered me up :D

Hadn't heard anything about Ewan so decided to have a day out shopping with mum today. The weather was quiet a shock when it hit! Found some lovely pyjamas on sale but they only had them in a 14-16. I did feel really thrilled when they were too big for me! In fairness they were a really big 14-16 but I'm easily made happy :rotfl:

Went to Iceland to stock up on some SW food because I very rarely get a chance and I LOVE convenience. Got a pack of the SW burgers but nothing else appealed to me. Decided to go to M&S instead and treat myself to some of their Count on Us range. Much pricier but I know I'll enjoy them a whole lot more. Just hoping I won't get a massive shock when I google the syns!

Mum wanted to get lunch out but I came prepared with SW friendly packed lunch. Did go for a coffee but I had mine black so a very syn free day.

Good luck for tomorrow Kathrynha :) and good luck to everyone with the new challenge.

Please may I join the thread? (I lurked all the way through the last one! ;))

I joined SW on 29th December last year, and have lost 17lbs to date. I go to weekly meetings, although due to work rotas can't always get to the same time each week, but mainly weigh on Thursdays.

I would like to aim for 14lbs over the next 9 weeks please, Shala_moo. Think positive! :p

I'm hoping that by posting here and being accountable to all of you, it will inspire me to keep going - I've got a long way to go, so need to keep up inspiration and momentum.

I'm on holiday from work this week, so am hoping to be able to control my food more easily. I do have several meals out to contend with (tend to catch up with friends when I am off work, because I work long hours usually), but am going to plan low/no syn around them, and make the best available choices when faced with eating out. So, tomorrow's menu looks like this...

B: Crunchy bran (HExB) and Milk (HExA)
L: Cottage pie (homemade) with cabbage, carrots and leeks - all syn-free
D: Out with a friend, but plan to have chicken & avocado salad (have had it before and its the best option on the menu) - will syn some oil for the chicken, which is "grilled", but I suspect has a little on it, and the avocado - have had this dish before and it is about 1/4 of an avocado. No dressing, as prefer my salad with salt & pepper. There may be a glass of wine involved, but it will just be the one... :D

Right, enough waffling. Need to post this before I lose my nerve and go back to lurking, and then off to bed!

  • Good morning all,

Just weighed and have lost 3lbs!!

    Very happy with this.

SHALA, thanks so much for making the charts, it's so helpful.

Question, should this weight loss be the start of the spring challenge? I forgot the cut off day was yesterday so should have weighed in then. Maybe you could include it wherever you think best. If it's the spring one the. I'm off to a good start!

The 777 thing is def working for me, half a stone in 2 weeks. I'm not sticking to 7 syns, more like a maximum of 80 per week. Lots of speed too. I wasn't sure I would lose any this week so I'm delighted.

Please could you put me down for an optimistic 14 lbs for this challenge??

Hope everyone else is doing okay. Sorry to hear some people are having a tough time, MRS RYAN and TOPGIRL, keep positive x

  • Forgot to add, I made a recipe from the menu on the app. It's sweet potato and red pepper tortilla. It's on day 3 of the veggie option. I would really recommend it. Great cut up for lunches and totally free.

You just need eggs, sweet potato, pepper, spinach, red onion, garlic, rosemary and a bit of quark (could be substituted).

Have a look if you need a new easy recipe x
