Well I managed to stay on plan yesterday EXCEPT I was at my gran's house at lunchtime and she whipped up a batch of cheese scones and gave me one slathered in butter. Augh. Does anyone else end up going off track in order to fit in with others or not offend? The most conservative estimate I can find for syns is about ten, which takes me way over for the day, and I don't even like cheese scones! The saving grace is that I counted that for my lunch, and tea was just SW quiche and salad so at least it was a 'light' day overall.

    Definitely. It's so hard sometimes.
When people at work bring in chocolate, and they know I can't have it, so they bring in some haribo as well just for me, it feels rude not to eat some.

Welcome back Saver Upper. A wise decision to rejoin and stay to group. You'll soon lose that weight.

Miss Teach glad you enjoyed your holiday and I'm sure the weight will come off just as quickly as it went on. It seems to for most people (but apparently not for me! I'm still trying to lose the weight from my January AI holiday!)

Hope everything goes OK at the hospital Kathryn and that you don't feel too ikky after it.

Have planned a Green day today:

    B - Toasted cheese sandwich (HEB1 & 2)
    L - Carrot & Lentil soup
D - Egg, SW chips, beans, mushrooms; rice pudding made with Almond milk (HEA1)

HEA2 - 1% milk in teas throughout the day

Hopefully no syns today as only have a max of 6 available for today and tomorrow but who knows how I'll feel this evening. Hoping I'll feel really full after the rice pudding!

Still trying to get caught up with the thread!

10 lbs for the new challenge please Shala.
Weigh day will be a thurs.

Had a really lovely holiday, very relaxing and the weather was amazing. Could have continued on for another week easy!

Don't seem to have gained any weight whilst being on holiday - was pretty sensible and did lots of walking but had a few on before I went when I lost the plot with work stress etc.

Anyway back on to reality now and being healthy. Have had fish the last two nights, in a fishy mood lol. Had lots of bacon and Spanish meats etc for breakfast whilst away so think that's why - I've sickened myself of meat for a while lol.

Got a fitbit before I went away and been enjoying that too, it fairly motivates you. The difference in me being on holiday and being at work in steps is crazy. I did not realise I was so sedentary on work days! Will get back to the gym over the weekend and then back at least 4 times a week from next week. Determined not to let my stress levels get as bad as they were before I went away no matter what work throws at me.

    morning all.

WI this morning was a STS for me.
Given I have not been an angel and its star week I am OK with that.
3 weeks until by holiday and I would love to loose 4lbs to take me to the 1 stone mark, so I am on plan with determination!

    Todays meal plan
    B: Special K HEA and B
L: probably quiche with speed food chucked in
    D: steak and speed veg
    Snacks: strawberrys FF Yogurt, celery
    syns - TBD
    walk 2018 miles in 2018 - 781 of 2018

Cazza - what is the 5 syn rice pud please? That seems like a nice filling sweet treat for 5 syns as opposed to a Freddo or something.

The pots of rice come out around 5 syns each, eg:
    Rice pudding standard, canned/pots (120g pot) 5½
Rice pudding reduced fat, canned/pots (115g pot) 5
Rice pudding reduced fat, canned/pots (100g serving) 4½
Ambrosia Rice Pudding, Light Rice (115g pot) 5

Interesting that it doesn't seem to matter if you have standard or reduced fat! :
    Rice pudding standard, canned/pots (25g) 1
Rice pudding, chilled reduced fat (25g) 1

    LL :)

    Hi Everyone,

Well I didn't go to group on Saturday - I just knew there would be a gain as it was star week and I was feeling so bloated! I messaged the consultant to book me off.

I will definitely be there next Saturday - she has just started a 2nd group on a Saturday, so I will be at that one due my cat being booked into the vets at 9am. Back to my usual group though the week after.

I am going to have a go at a scan bran cake, as I have some of this left. The one I'm going to try is the curly wurly one, I have some curly wurlys ordered on the shopping for tonight!

    Speak soon x

ETA:- The recipes for scan bran cake says to cook it in a microwavable dish - has anyone done this and what sort of dish do you use please?

Did a long post earlier but lost it. I'll catch up with everyone later.

Off for a pub meal tonight (probably to watch my team humiliated by Chelsea:() so chips and wine syns will be needed.

I've had SW breakfast (boiled eggs) and lunch (LO cottage pie with loads of veg) and back on plan tomorrow 100%.:)

Welcome. Of course you can join in the thread, it's open to all. You don't even need to be attending a group.

It's quite useful posting your menu plans as others can point out any mistakes you may have made. So if you want to post your plans up we can have a look for you. Also if you have any questions just ask. There's usually someone around who will be able to help.

You don't seem to have had many syns. Taking a quick look you had none yesterday and 6 today. Are you saving them? And because I'm obsessed with Speed, just wanted to remind you that bananas are just free. HTH and welcome to the thread. :)
Hi maman, no I'm not saving my syns, I haven't felt hungry to be honest but will probably have more as the week goes on. I did know about bananas as I'm filling in the food diary with being a new member.

Dustyblinds - Try to use your syns as it is part of the SW plan. Also it gives you somewhere to reduce if you find your losses have plateaued.

I've always used all my syns and got to target 6 years and have remained there (until mid January when I went on an all inclusive holiday). Now just 0.5lb out of target range - it definitely seems to be harder losing the last couple of lbs to get back there. If it doesn't come off this week then I think I'm going to have to reduce my syns down a bit but hopefully not!
