XSpender - I make it into muffins for when at work (easily portable compared to many of the meals) How are you finding C2? I'm due to finish C1 this weekend but am going to add a few days on to cover my birthday weekend.....

Well I hung 2 loads of washing on the line (beautiful blue skies this morning, decent temperature, weather said dry and sunny) - and then it started raining at midday - cold, almost sleety rain :( Keeps doing it on and off - so all washing is now back in the house :(

Not a NSD - went to payg Zumba, but cash taken out for that at beginning of the month. Posted a letter but used stamps received from RM surveys :) Also posted a parcel with Hermes - but fleebay monies covered that. Nipped into A1di for Greek yogurt (so much cheaper than the branded one), milk, cheese and some more veggies. Also bought 2 of their lavender wooden planters from their special buys - one for my mum for Mothering Sunday and 1 for my nan's birthday. And filled up my car with fuel :)

Just done a pile of ironing - hopefully the washing from today will be ready for ironing later. Cleaned downstairs loo, did some online banking and just about to clean the kitchen before the first of 2 afternoon school runs. Really looking forward to the Easter hols (I know that's not exactly living in the moment!) - love the break from routines and spending time with the kids :)

    Hi everyone.

Spendy day today, got some strawberries, grapes and almonds - magnesium in them may prevent migraine attacks keep getting. Treated myself to lovely stir fry meal deal in M & S does me a couple of days. Excited about my tea tonight.

Brilliant weight loss Mothernerd so jealous, I am so rubbish with trying to diet. Brought homemade soup to work, didn't fancy it so ate bananas on doorstep toast. Oops.

  • Use it or Lose it: went for a walk at lunch as it was beautiful (I too was expecting cold and dismal weather)
Well-being: my little group was so lethargic and down in the dumps I took 5 mins to do a bit of yoga with them and we all felt energised :)
Inspiration: I think I really am happy but totally agree with this one!

    Grateful for:
My headache going with the yoga moves
Having money left in the bank
A happy home to come back to

    Excellent weightloss mothernerd.

We are a 2 vehicle family - when DH and I worked in the same town we car shared and I occasionally caught the bus home if I could not get a lift home with a work colleague but now we work in different places so definitely need 2 vehicles.
One of our vehicles is a 4 x 4 which we need on our smallholding - DH uses this for work and even though it is a 2.5 litre diesel it is very economic.

Not sure how we would manage without vehicles, our village does not have a bus service but the next one along does but only to the big town I work in. The smaller town in another direction has no direct bus service which is a pain. The last bus home gets into the next village at 7pm.

I try to hang out my washing when it is nice, at the moment it has mainly been weekend but the nicer the weather gets the more my washing will go out in the week.

Had another NSD today taking me to 9 for the month.
Yesterday was a spend day, used my car at work on Mon to visit another office and on the way back called in at a supermarket and stocked up on soya milk - got 24 cartons which should last about 2-3 weeks.

I am loving the food it's lots of carbs on training days and you can make your own recipes and they give you a few too. I am doing my own training so can't comment on that but it looks tough!

misstara - (giant) couscous with roasted veg and chickpeas? M&S also do a lovely Moroccan inspired salad dressing which I stir through my couscous sometimes. Oatcakes with nut butter and topped with thinly sliced apple or grapes? (although am assuming you can get dairy free oatcakes there)

Thanks for the ideas greent. I spotted some gluten free couscous in the supermarket earlier so grabbed that and have made a batch with roasted veg which will do my lunches for the next few days. I'll have a look at that salad dressing too, it sounds yummy. The usual oatcakes I eat are dairy free so those with nut butter sound lovely.

LSD today - bought the couscous and milk for OH. He's happy to use dairy free spread but was horrified when I suggested he swap to soya milk :rotfl:

  • Morning everyone,

    NSD yesterday :)

Today wont as I've football tonight (£3.50).

Tomorrow should be a NSD and I plan on baking in the evening in advance of the family trip to Aviemore on Friday. Empire biscuits and a vanilla sponge with marshmallow fondant. All ingredients are in the house already so no need to spend.

    Day TwentyTwo
    Use It or Lose It
Local parks - again, under threat because of cut backs. I know some of you do the park run - one of the primary uses for parks these days is various forms of exercise. One of ours has some outdoor equipment (gym type but made with big metal tubes like old style park equipment) and has a gardening group). I am keen to investigate both but it's over the nasty bridge again (and then a fair walk - used to do it once a week to play hockey as our playing field was near there).

    Wellbeing
We have finished the 21 day challenge so I have found a list of ideas for combatting stress and written down the ones that don't overlap.

    Day 22
Go to the park and enjoy nature. I know some of you won't be able to do it today. Maybe get outside (I've made it rain again now) and just look - at clouds, dead leaves, insects, buds on trees (some of the ones on the car park have little white flowers for the first time, it's about 4 years since they were planted).

    Inspiration
Treat yourself the way you would a small child. Feed yourself healthy food and make sure you spend time outside. Put yourself to bed early. Let yourself take naps. Don't say mean things to yourself. Don't put yourself in danger (your skull and your heart are still as fragile as eggshells).

I needed that inspiration. Sorry for poor service over the past few days. I am fed up because I don't seem to be able to get going this week. It's extra frustrating because Beloved has gone to see her parents for a couple of days and I have a rare opportunity to get in their room / the front room (DS3 can only be in one or the other).

I did empty 2 more of the boxes that were on their bedroom floor, turfed out an old quilt that is quite disgusting and found more clothes for washing. Also brought up another bag of their clean clothes. But there is no room for the quilt in the bin (don't ask me to send it to the dog's home, it's not fit for a dog) so it's on the kitchen floor (until bin is emptied - did another pile of pizza boxes last night). Would like to strip the beds but that is at least 3 more loads of washing and nowhere to dry them. Feeling frazzled because the whole house is unravelling and I want it boxed into manageable segments.

I was feeling useless and despondent. Not quite bounced back but okay (not enough sleep). I have moved one of Thursday's meetings onto today so will be out for 4 - 5 hours. Not sure how I will manage - probably curl on an armchair and go to sleep.
