    I have lost 4lbs :j:j:j:j 4lbs.

Could do better so back to full effort now (as well as thinking of short cuts and easier/ quicker/ less energy ways of doing absolutely everything).

    Well done you!! :T

SFD number 12 now :) I'm a one person one car household, not much I can do about it as I live in a village and need it to get to school in a suburb across town which would take two buses; Not suitable for carrying class assets of books for marking.

I'm thrilled. Just need to kick the chocolate monster into touch.

Today I am grateful for the music the man next door has been playing - classical but very light and spare like silver rain, for losing weight and being a slightly better shape (magnificent bosum is more than holding it's own against the middle) and for easy food, loved the tuna on Mediterranean bread.

    Well done Mothernerd :)

Use it or lose it - we are a 1 car/1 van family but can't really cut down as the bus service isn't brilliant already and they're cutting back more end of this year. We both start work too early for buses around here anyway. My hubby cycles to work in Summer though and our van is also our holiday home as we go camping here rather than abroad.

Wellbeing - I would love a career change but keep flitting about as to what I want to do. My mum has said if I want to do something a course/degree would help with she'll pay for ou/part timecourse for me. Decisions, decisions! I am so dissatisfied at work and hate my manager - though I still don't look forward to it it's like the day is happier when he's off.

Well done on the weight loss mothernerd :D

No car here - OH can't drive due to health issues and gets a free bus pass, I mostly walk everywhere. I bought 5 single journey tickets at the start of March and so far I have used 1. If I need a car, I hire 1 through a car club.

I'm currently doing a qualification through work which I need for my role, looking forward to the pay rise once I complete it :D then after that I've got to do another qualification through work so plenty to keep me busy.

Sunday was a NSD, yesterday was a LSD. I popped over to the shop to grab something for lunch and also got a couple of things on the way home, under £5 spent. I'm struggling with lunches at the moment, my usual LTW is oatcakes and cheese or pate, fruit and a yoghurt but because I'm trying dairy free at the moment, I need to find something else. Any ideas?

misstara - (giant) couscous with roasted veg and chickpeas? M&S also do a lovely Moroccan inspired salad dressing which I stir through my couscous sometimes. Oatcakes with nut butter and topped with thinly sliced apple or grapes? (although am assuming you can get dairy free oatcakes there)

  • Morning all,

NSD yesterday and today should be too.

As usual, tomorrow will be a spend day as I've got football. Get the head down for the rest of the month.

Lost the plot a bit this month and have spent more than planned on needed repair and maintenance work in the house and garden, on a month when DH wages were all messed up, has meant all the debt I paid off at the beginning of the year is back to where it was  Add to that 2 birthdays, mothers day, 2 big nights out (when we don't normally go out much at all!), a short break due to be paid this month and a BNPL due and it has all come at once :(

The only positive is that our food spending has gone down massively this month, about 34% down!!:)

Well done Mothernerd on the weight loss.

Greent - that recipe was my favourite on cycle 1. I used to make it into cookies to have when I was travelling. Too much of it can give you the runs though (sorry TMI). It's not available on cycle 2 but there is a recipe for orange and cinnamon porridge and if you use chocolate protein powder it tastes like a certain round chocolate you tap and unwrap ;)

2 cars here - both company cars changed every 3 months. Neither of us would spend a lot of money on a car or ever by a brand new one if we were buying our own but they do make the long driving we do more pleasant.

Learn something - just been offered a course at work I will check to see if I can do the dates for.

Sorry for lateness turtles - will get round to replying to your posts - some very interesting points raised.

    Day 21
    Use It or Lose It
The weather. Someone was warning of snow yesterday but we have lovely sunshine though still extremely cold. Going to 'use it' by pegging out as much washing as will fit and may temporarily abandon the jobs and go for a walk in the woods.

Don't overthink. Practice being present in the moment.

We went for a lovely walk today. The sun went from sunshiney to hail. The thrill of the English weather.
finally into double figures with NSD.
