As long as you double check the previous rust issues it maybe worth a punt at £350.
I can't really check them now as auction ends tomorrow. I presume as it has passed the MOT is should be ok but it is looking more and more dodgy - especially as rust issue affects offside seatbelt!

I bid & won car on ebay,

When I went to collect, test drove, car was making racket, I walked away. Seller was annoyed saying I should take it, you bid to buy.
I walked away, people will take the pee.

You really should see & hear the car running.

If you're going to buy with address discrepancy, I'd ask to see other proofs of ID & address.
    .

This was utterly out of order, its a auction you bid to buy not to go and have a look and decide your impulse bid was a mistake. The time to inspect the goods is before bidding or you make your bid and live we the consequences. Anyone doing this to me is getting negative feedback and a bill for my ebay fees.

She even said they would deliver it as I am only 3 miles away - maybe they don't want me to have the chance to drive it before I pay them!! Might give it a miss..too risky. Too many anomalies. I'm looking for a cheap car but maybe there are better options than this one.

mmm what worried me was there bit on the right hand page was missing - his wife said it was because their son had changed their mind. But that did ring alarm bells! It had the previous keeper's name on the other bit. does it sound like this is a trader?
So the car is not in sellers name yet ?

Yes. I liked the car but maybe too good to be true. Too many red flags for a shiny red car.:D

Nope. That is a big issue isn't it!!! Terrible really. Apparently their teenage son wanted a 5-door car and father bought him 3-door so he didn't want it.;)

Even if I were insured, which I'm not, I wouldn't have been able to test drive it because of them! She said no road tax on it but surely I could take it a few yards as they live on a private road. Very small but even so.
