What is your claim for?
(The onus is on Go Skippy to prove your vehicle was unroadworthy and / or it being unroadworthy contributed to the claim) Thus knowing more details about your claim will help us.
P.S Google who the owner of Go Skippy is0 -

Success!
A little more context.
I was involved in a collision. My fault, out for lunch.
Approaching a give way, no cars coming, car infront approaching the end, no sign of stopping, so i turn to check further down the road, still clear, my passenger shouts 'Brake!', the lady infront decided to sharply break (actually went past the give way line). I hit the breaks, not in time, hit her before i stopped.
Accepted responsability, she shouldn't have stopped, but i shouldnt have assumed. Seemed like a nervous driver, felt quite bad but she was nice and we exchanged details and stayed with her until she calmed down. Insureance sent me a letter within a week of notifying, no MOT, not paying out, and cancelling my insurance (GoSkippy), after some frantic searching, and this particular thread, called them up, expained details, they did try it on a little - asked for reciepts as proof of maintenance etc once i referenced the FSA and the clause quoted in here. Told them i have none, but welcome to inspect.
Followed up after noone called me back last night, was told they will process the claim, and won't cancel my insurance (thank god).
Just needed the correct details and a bit of confidence.
Want to thank everyone here as I had no idea and woud not have known to challenge them without you guys. Looks like its gone smoother then the OP's process, but haven't had a call to arrange picking up the motor to inspect damage yet. It doesn't look that bad, but have a feeling the absorbtion bar has had a hammering behind the bumper.

Do yourself at renewal and use a proper Insurer, as you can see Go Skippy intentionally misslead you to try and save themselves money. They are well aware the MOT exclusion is not permitted but will continue trying to miss lead customers in the future0

Hi all,
I fell behind on car insurance payment due to my work payment schedule. My insurance was suppose to be paid on 14th Jan 18 but my payment didnt go through as I had not been paid. I had asked them if I could change the date but they said they couldn't at the time.
Anyway, I received a letter and an email saying that I had to make a payment by 2/2/18 otherwise my insurance will be cancelled. I tried to make a payment at 1140pm on 1/2/18 but I noticed they had cancelled my insurance.
I will try to contact them in the morning, but could anyone offer some advice on this issue?0 -
Hey guys,
I figured I should post here instead of creating a new thread.
I need some advise / information on what to do next with my insurance. My situation is that i 'had' an IN10 on my license, which is driving without insurance (long story short it lapsed without my knowledge..)
Now this landed me 6 points, which have very recently 'expired' from my license. However there is a removal date that is an additional year later. My question is now that the points are practically off, will this mean I am still subject to astronomical insurance prices by insurance companies? Also do I need to disclose the points even though they have been removed?
Thanks.0 -
You declare it for the period the insurer asks... if for example they ask for points in last 6 years you declare all in last 6 years irrespective of whether they still show on the license0

Thanks for the response, do you know if they still apply steep financial penalties even if it has been removed?0 -
We had similar (but not MOT complication) but maybe your focus should be fighting the whiplash claim. We took a photo next morning, no damage to front of our White vehicle whatsoever, yet scumbags were claiming whiplash for 4 people and yet two got out to make a fuss about a tap!
We sent photos to insurance company and complained - they were brilliant and said they were used to that sort of spurious claim - the case was not pursued.
Take a photo, as that will show the scratch and show you've not had it repaired. Was there any CCTV cameras in the area? You can ask for it from any premises, but may have to pay £10 for the service.0 -
UPDATE
Insurance have decided that I am at fault and have now sent a letter stating that as we breached the terms of the policy they were unable to provide cover for the incident and are wanting well over 10k in whiplash and car hire and solicitors fees which they paid out to the third party stating they have a right of recovery and want me to pay them back for what they have paid out have sent off an official complaint quoting all the relevant info given on this thread just waiting for a reply now will update soon0
