  • Morning all
Welcome to the new flyers, the returners and the lurkers
Hugs good wishes positive vibes, sticks and spoons where needed.
Half terms over here so paid stuff calling, I've got mindful meditation again tonight so pretty full day. But I will squeeze flying in, between paid and meditating most likely while I'm making food for everyone.

I did break the back of mount ironmore last night so table is piled with stuff that now needs putting away, that will also be done tonight.

Have a good day everyone x

  • Morning all :)

I am in Valli, thank you xx

It is half term here! Fortunately the grandparents are helping out a bit so I won't get too far behind with paid stuff. So far I have made DH lunch (gammon done in SC, yum), he's gone to work, unloaded and reloaded DW, and children are now Weetabixing the world.

We are going volunteering at 9, then straight to SiL's for lunch. Back home to do some flying then visiting more family later.

Finally found a light fitting for the top of the stairs - we have had nothing there for over a year, I just stopped seeing it :o

    Have fab days all xx

Morning newbies, returners, lurkers and regulars. Hugs, sticks, spoons all available as required.

Thanks for the list Valli. I am in although still limited by 'improvement' works.

Up at 5.15 today as they wanted an early start, still no one here. I have however done some bankings, walked the dogs and sorted out the washing on the airer.

And I'm crossing off from the list what I did in the 'kitchen' yesterday:

Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Level 1

[STRIKE]Clear the sills and wipe the windows and sills[/STRIKE] I don't have a window sill
    [STRIKE]Clear the worktops[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe them down thoroughly, don't forget the splashbacks[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe anything that's going back[/STRIKE] Nothing can go back yet.

    Level 2a

    [STRIKE]Clear and clear the table[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Change the cloth or wipe the mats[/STRIKE] No cloth or mats at the moment.
[STRIKE]Wipe the table and chairs - including lega and under the table edges - you might be surprised![/STRIKE] No chairs, they are stored away.

    Level 2b
[STRIKE]Dust where necessary[/STRIKE] Waste of time.
[STRIKE]Wipe cupboard fronts - don't forget the handle AND SOCKETS AND SWITCHES[/STRIKE] Switches are new, cupboard fronts still covered in plastic.

    Level 3
[STRIKE]Attend to all the floors[/STRIKE] Currently dusty concrete.
[STRIKE]Wipe doors, door handles and dont forget the tops[/STRIKE] Wrapped in dust sheets.
    [STRIKE]Wipe skirtings[/STRIKE]Waste of time.
[STRIKE]Finially - mop or vacuum[/STRIKE] No can do

    Extras
[STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE] Only a few items, will do on Friday.
[STRIKE]make sure there's nothing slowly decomposing in the fridge[/STRIKE] Smelly meat thrown yesterday.
[STRIKE]If its half term make a batch of Twinks for the hordes...you moght want to do this BEFORE starting on the list[/STRIKE] No kiddies here

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Hi, I am still around just been pottering off like I tend to do! Work has been picking up and I actually applied for a job in a coffee shop just around the corner from here so been very brave ..... didn't get it but at least I tried! J still looking for work and I'm now on a mild sedative as things get a bit too much for me sometimes (hence the disappearing act - sorry).

Did give the kitchen a little going over on Saturday so will get the list from the printer and off I go. Actually off riding this afternoon so looking forward to that.

Flying wise today - WM done and hung up, clean clothes put away, curtains opened, um .......

I have a fridge magnet that says "Raid fridge at own risk; contents may be under a curse, or awaiting re-animation":rotfl:

Afraid Flying won't really happen til Wednesday; I have ECG this afternoon and hearing test tomorrow; both of which I am dreading, so totally stressed out, which is not conducive to painfree Flying.

  • Hope its goes Ok LW and the staff are nice to you x

Up at 6.15am, spent 45 minutes blitzing the kitchen then off to work.

Home in good time, ran around with the carpet sweeper and tidied up, flung open some windows, made our bed, swished the loos and put a load of washing in. Just back from walking the dog and the washing is nearly done so will hang that out.

Then on with paid stuff, curry is sorted for tea.

Oh and I came home to an empty house, DS1 had been asked to go into work and DS2 has gone to a friends. Felt strangely sad, was expecting them both to be home, which is very silly!

    Right, work to be done.

    Hello

We are back! But I'm probably not in this week - mostly laundry and studying. Assignment not due yet but ideally want to finish it this week.

Today has disappeared in a haze of getting kids up (not in bed till 11:30 due to flights etc), grocery shopping and bringing the pets home. They are happily re-installed in our conservatory and have been very well looked after - cage was nice and clean and they are clearly well fed :)

I've to go get the kids in a mo and I expect they will be beyond tired. Hoping for a quiet evening, baths and early nights all round!

Was a wonderful holiday - not felt this relaxed in a long time! Hoping to hold on to that feeling for a while yet. "Don't worry be happy".
    :D

Hoping you are all ok, I haven't read last weeks thread but hope to slowly catch up this week, even if I'm off-list!
    Xx
