Relying on any ISP email is a big mistake. Go for a free email account and you can switch around ISPs to your hearts content.

Yep,moved to gmail many years ago.
  • Changed to Plusnet a few years ago from bt ,i was very disappointed with Plusnet as they strangle the speed at busy times and in a family house where everything runs with wifi it was slow ,they put up the prices after a few months and i took the opportunity to move back to bt as soon as i could

My switch to PN happened this week, was without broadband for the whole day of the switch. Was all fine the following day.

I decided to stay with BT. They reduced my monthly charge to £25.99 for Infinity1,which included the line rental. So £4 a month less than I was paying. I also asked for the latest BT hub which I received 2 days later.

I have lost out on the £105. Top Cashback deal from Plusnet, but I did not want to gamble on the risk of strangled speeds.

Are your figures above correct ??
You are getting BT Infinity 1 INCLUDING Line Rental for £25.99 per month ??
For the same thing in my area I am paying £17.00 per month for the Infinity 1 & £18.99 per month Line Rental. ( I pay this yearly to get the discounted rated of £18.99 instead of £21.00 )
So I am paying £32.28 per month......
How do you get that deal then ??
Unfortunately I cannot get use any other provider.

All that Samknows is telling you is that there are no LLU providers.

Most of the other ISPs will provide a service to you using the Openreach/BT Wholesale infrastructure, although probably not Sky.

Plusnet charge extra for non LLU exchanges but most others do not.

Yes figures definitely correct. I was paying £29.99 all in. Incidentally they were offering me Infinity2 with line rental for £33.49 a month but don't need it that fast.

Plusnet deal just now is £25.00 a month for Infinity1, this includes line rental.
If you go through Topcashback you can currently earn £40.It was £105, when I was about to join them.

Use this, to phone and haggle a deal. To achieve a deal, a bit of research and haggling is required.

Incidentally I managed to get the £25.99 deal at three properties, mine, my son's and at a property I let out (I include all the bills in the rent).I made it clear I was leaving BT unless I got a deal. Was in contract for all three properties but managed to use their forthcoming price rise to haggle.

Actually the black friday bt deal was £9 for infinity 1. Add on £17 for line rental saver and that's £26 a month. So for anyone who joined in November or December its really the minimum they would have to offer someone to honour their contract and negate the price rise...

Even if you are a new customer joining today it would be £29.99 for infinity, Less £65 on a prepaid credit card it works out at about £24 a month for the first 12 months.

Do it through quido today and its 28.99 a month plus the credit card plus £100 cashback maybe? Making £16!!! a month for the first year.

Which just shows what a nuts mockery all these prices are.
