You sound like you are doing very well and good on you for escaping what seems to be a very bad relationship. I hope he does not pester you for any of your redundancy pay.

I wonder if your dad is aware that financially you have some breathing space? I think if my daughter was to leave their jobs voluntarily I would worry about them unless they reassured me that financially they would be ok. If the job was bad for your mental health though you are better off out of it.

My dad does know I will be financially ok but I don't think he can get his head around someone choosing not to work. Although I will be helping my mom more in her business as she is getting busier and needs the extra help now.

I have got all my receipts out and have calculated how much I have spent for March.

    Lidl - £16.95
Morrisons - £100.03 (this incl mothers day flowers @ £36)
    Poundland - £16
    Farmfoods - £44.82
    Asda - £18.50
    Postoffice - £6.45
    B+ M - £40
    Boots - £4.99
    Train - £6.30
    Aldi - £37.05
Currys - £44.99 (Had to purchase a new printer)
    Pizza/kfc - £28.66
    Petrol - £86.34
    car check - £27.91
    Kickboxing - £35.00 (DS2 Grading)
    speeding fine - £100
    Slimming world - £19.80
    Hairdressers - £32
Total spends for March £665.79

I had to buy a new printer as I had to return my work printer when I left. Purchased a HP printer which had £5 off and also have 6 months worth of free ink.
I would not have normally spent money on the following
    Speeding fine :(
    Kickboxing
    pizza/kfc
    Currys printer
    Train tickets
    post office
and extra spends in Morrisons for mothers day.
I have over spent by about £350 approx

This is so shocking and I hope it is nothing like this for April as there is no way I can continue spending this amount of money just in one month.

What a palaver trying to sort out my TV licence.
I forgot to call them back on Saturday but tried at about 2 pm but they closed at 1 pm.
Called again this morning to be told I was miss informed on Friday and he didn't do anything.
I just wanted to make sure I have a valid TV licence. I have now been told that when you pay by DD you pay 6 months in advance, so my TV licence is valid until 30/11/2017 and I can buy a years licence then and my last payment came out today which is perfect timing. I have cancelled the DD and will just put the £145.50 aside for then when it's due in November/December.

Bank accounts checked and I am just wanting for all payments to go through before I do anything else.

Spent £26.76 in Aldi yesterday. I have just checked the receipt and I have been charged twice for sweetener @ 75p each (I only purchased one) I will make sure I check my receipt in store in future.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Smile loan account has now been closed :j
This will now reduce my min debt repayments by £143.

I had to purchase a replacement battery for my laptop as the old one just stopped working completely and I could only use my laptop when it was connected by mains power. Luckily, I had a Amazon gift voucher so used that to purchase it.

NSD yesterday and spent £43 on petrol today.
