  • Friday - NSD

Saturday - I had a budget this week of £50 for groceries. I decided to go to a different Aldi which is bigger and nicer than the one I normally go to and I spent £46.87
I did want to get a few things in Asda but decided to leave it and try and make do with what I now have. I now have £3.13 left from my budget so I think I should spend it wisely :rotfl::rotfl: (I may have to rethink my budget with 2 growing boys)

Had a cleaning day yesterday and found £10 in my bedroom :D Love it when cleaning pays :T I would love to say I could keep this as an emergency but it will have to be used for ds2 bus fare.

    Planned spends for this week.
    • Wednesday £17 for the hairdressers
    • Thursday car repairs. I don't know how much this will be yet

It's my 2nd kickboxing class in an hour, I am looking forward to kicking @ss :rotfl:

  • small rant.

ex has said that he forgot to feed the kids

Really!!!!! He has had them since yesterday and ds1 played rugby this morning and he has not given them a meal to eat.
    His reason.
    • I didn't think
    • I thought it was only 2pm

I was very calm and said I will pick them up, don't worry about it.

Please excuse me while I just exploded :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • OMG that's ridiculous! Your DS1 must be absolutely famished.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

  • Thank you all xxx

I am so proud of myself as I didn't go into melt down mode. On the way to picking them up I thought about getting kfc, pizza or something but I wanted to have a nsd :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So I made something at home and they ate it all very quickly. I was so upset with what he had done that I did all of my ironing in anger :j
    Felt great afterwards.
He has now just called and spoke very nicely and asked if I could loan him £5k
My reply... sorry I do not have any money ;) (on your bike)
He didn't want me so he can't have my money :p

    Sunday NSD
    Today NSD

I promise I will have a financial update soon :rotfl:

  • Yeah it's payday :j:j:j

I had £63.23 left over in my first direct account form last months pay. This is a first for the last 6 months.
    • I have now transferred that to the savings account. I now have £336.93 in there.
    • I have cancelled a few dd that were no longer in use which is now down to 8 from 13. Once the final EE bill has been paid I will cancel that dd too.
    • I have logged my gas and electricity readings with First Utility.
    • B'card dd has been taken £175.29 from my smile account and I now have £129.26 in there.

I didn't have enough change for ds2 bus fare so I had to drop him off and he has drumming lessons after school so I will have to pick him up then.
So I will declare today as a NSD - 3 in a row.

I had my leavers meeting with my manager today and have had to place an order to cancel my works broadband service. I will have to hand in the works latop, keyboard and printer on my last day. I thought he would let me keep the printer (it's very old) but I will now have to buy one to replace it :( - He said I can keep the phone, desk and cabinet but I would prefer the printer. Oh well.

I also get free broadband through work so I will have to now pay for broadband for the first time ever once I leave. I have seen the prices  I think this will wipe out all the little savings I have made over the last few months like cancelling sky and spotify :(

I am not sure what I do with my works pension. I have had a look at last years statement and it says I would get £6388,81 pa so this year it may be a little more. In 25 years time I don't think that would be very much.

I don't think there is much I can do now other that wait for my leave date. I shall make tomorrow 1st March the start of my offical count down :D
