MSE News: Barclays bottom of MSE customer service table, as First Direct is rated top

Won't touch Nationwide as had a bad experience before. The HSBC one I wouldn't mind but it's fiddly to apply for (can't get to a branch easily) and I'm not happy about sending documents by post. I have a full current account with Barclays but the only difference between that and my basic account is Apple Pay! (Because of my dyscalculia Apple Pay is a godsend to me and I use it a lot)
You cal apply for HSBC's basic account online now.

Love or hate them the advertising must work, they are the most switched to bank.
Or should all banks be like the Nat West adverts? Talk about depressing.
I agree, I saw the NatWest advert in the cinema, I thought it was an advert for a charity at first, one of those guilt tripping ones.0 -
Presumably the masses of fraudsters engaged in TalkTalk, BT etc scams weren't contacted for this survey as they would no doubt have scored Barclays very highly.DEBT FREE!

Barclays bottom? Staff are so much friendlier and more efficient than Lloyds or Halifax. When I go into Barclays I am always greeted with a smile and helped as soon as possible, at Lloyds staff ignores customers waiting in queue and generally give the impression they just don't want to be there. Lloyds is the only bank I often feel unwelcome.
Nationwide and TSB deserve to be in top 5, their staff are so nice.
First Direct top of an MSE survey... big surpise.
Will there be a 2018 version where forum users can vote? Never seen this survey advertised before, just the results appear magically.0 -
Each of the weekly emails has a link to a 'poll of the week', and the six-monthly bank service ones are done in early February (hence this thread) and August, so the 2 August 2017 email linked to the bank service poll dated 31 July 2017. If you want to contribute, I'd suggest reading to the bottom of the emails sent out at the end of January or early February, or monitoring https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/poll/Will there be a 2018 version where forum users can vote? I'd reiterate my comments from post #6 above about the utter futility of such exercises that are based on just these sort of subjective opinions that have no real quantifiable value or meaning!Barclays bottom?
