Well, I don't bake but its OH's birthday this Sunday and I normally buy one...I know..not very MSE or OS.:rolleyes: ....so I am going to bake a Victoria Sponge with strawberries and cream...well going to try anyway. He will faint with shock when he sees it, and I will shove it down his throat whether he likes it or not. I shall post a pic......of the cake, not me shoving it down his throat.

Well, ya best make two then, coz the rules say it can't be for someone's birthday. Cake on a birthday is expected. The one for OH will have to be a practice cake. Give the other one to someone whose birthday it isn't.

But I shall do another one. For my sis I think, we lost our mum unexpectedly about a month ago, and I don't know how I would have got through the past month without her strength.

Cake for sis is perfect. Probably best you practice on the OH first, by the sound of things! Looking forward to the pictures!

My cake tin was already full

DS has just gone off to Scout camp. When he was a cub lots of parents baked, but now all the baking parents have left, apart from me :rolleyes: At his last camp he was the only one to take cake (HM or otherwise :eek: :eek: :eek: ). So this cake isn't expected, but will be gratefully received.


Belated Happy Birthday Mr BE :beer: There's one piece of cake left (wouldn't fit in the box) Would you like it?

Its not his birthday til Sunday. I am not doing a sponge now, I got a recipe for a Mars Bar Cheesecake, no baking involved. :drool:
