    i've followed this thread from the begining and am really enjoying it (nicking few recipes as well) have made some scones for the first time in my life and gave them to friends theyre still alive so that is a good thing ...thanks mrbadexample for starting the thread

    Rikki.. hubby is well chuffed!! He is dashing off out for cream cheese as soon as the chiblies are in bed and when it is iced he will scoff the lot.. he said it smells like carrot cake.. :shrug:

    Sorry I forgot to post the recipe! You need...

    250g castor sugar
    185g plain chocolte drops
    3 large eggs
    110g plain flour
    185g butter

    Melt the chocolate drops and butter in a bowl in a saucpan of boiling water and let it cool for 10 mins. Mix the eggs and suger in another bowl and then add the chocolate and butter mix. Add the flour and mix until smooth. You can add walnuts and a tsp of vanilla extract here if you like.

    Pour into a greased baking tray thingy and put into the oven at 160C for 20-30mins until the top is smooth and firm. Easy and cheap!

    EEK more yummy things.. and I'm feeling all PMTish so needing chocolate... yum!

    Apparently the carrot cake is 'just like a real one' and requires lots of lip slapping and 'mmmmmm'-ing and such like...
