People want DD,s to play the banks incentive game. This is a money saving expert site not the red cross or unicef .

The whole charity DD amount is another subject and is entirely up to the individual themselves. Others charity opinions are not relavant to another posters personal finances....charity amounts are a option yes but a must do this or that amount ...Never .

People trying to lay guilt trips on posters using pathalogical reasoning to convince them too pay X amount to this or that charity are just noise .:j

If I opened one on Monday, would it yield DDs for this month?

Probably not, but IME the system for setting up DDs is usually built around an automated process that doesn't allow you to select before the default date, which is usually (always in my experience) set to be 10 working days ahead.

PS I've seen them appear in my 'giving' ac earlier but still haven't been able to amend the date until after the default date.

I may try OnePoUndDD which seems a better looking site than little debits ?

They say I can set up DD,s today the 22nd may so they go out this month on 31st may

All done effortlessly registered and set up end of month DD,s with quick email replys.
I have set up 3 x halifax DD for end of the month of May which including today is 10 days left or 8 working days left from today the 22nd may. .
Will have to delete one or all or add DD as required so will report back on this onepounddd site soon as i know more .

You've forgotten about the bank holiday.
