First let me apologise because I know that the answer to this somewhere on the board, but after 30 minutes of searching I just cant find it.
I live alone and my grocery spend is far too high. From January I am setting myself a challenge to reduce it. I need to start meal planning and I'm looking for a store cupboard list. Although my store cupboard looks full, I feel like I never have anything in the house that I can make a meal out of, so that tells me my store cupboard doesn't contain the right stuff.
I looked on the Grocery challenge, storecupboard challenge and meal planning threads but I cant find a basic list.
I followed the link down the page on this thread but it wont work for me

Hi Dawning,
These threads should help:
Storecupboard Essentials
what essentials do you have in your freezer
Fridge Essentials?
I'll add your post to the first link later to keep the suggestions together. Good luck with building up your storecupboard.

I need to start meal planning and I'm looking for a store cupboard list. *Although my store cupboard looks full, I feel like I never have anything in the house that I can make a meal out of, so that tells me my store cupboard doesn't contain the right stuff.
Hi, okay so what sort of meals do you need, lunches for work and evening meals?
* What sort of things do you like to eat, or more to the point what things don't you like
Do you like to bake cakes for example, once you have flour/butter/jam/dried fruit and a few other bits, you can make a cake without actually buying anything else.
Don't try to buy everything at once though, because it will cost alot  and you still won't know where to start.0
