  • I am trying to be good and meal plan from now on (have tried in the past and given up:rolleyes: ) cos I am at imminent risk of redundancy  so really need to cut back and just wondered what is everyones 'can't live without - must have' storecupboard item?

Mine is stock cubes, I have tried making my own stock a few times but just don't find it very tasty (I do have a very salty palate so think that is why the cubes appeal!!) I usually buy knorr ones as I like them the best - they never seem to be on offer though!! I use them in everything even put half in with my veg if I am boiling it - veg flavour veg!!!

Have you tried the knorr powdered stock, the vegetable one is really nice, also you can get the chicken one in large tins from chinese supermarkets.

My store cupboard must haves would be chilli flakes and plain flour
