Morning all. Cold here but fine this morning.

Ho Ho Alfie yes, Christmas is coming. We went to see GSs infants nativity in the week and thoroughly enjoyed it. His school have them all involved and you can see how they are enjoying it. Still have a few presents to buy but not many.

Yesterday late I went out to buy some more sellotape and while in shop hesitated about buying some straws and then thought no we don't need them. So was interested in your posting about them Alfie. Didn't realise plastic lasted so long.

Totally agree with you about pets for presents FireFly.

lets hope there are some wins in the Inn soon. Good luck everyone.

We are home again - had a nice break although weather could have been better. Got soaked on our last day walking back to the hotel.
Got loads of bargains - mainly for ourselves! Jackets, trainers and wine mainly. Did get few little surprise presents.
Dad is going into hospital on Wednesday and having his operation on Thursday. It is a keyhole operation so they say he might be out on Friday! Can't see it myself as it is a serious operation and he is 84. Glad things are happening now anyway.
Going to deliver rest of our cards today and maybe wrap some presents if I remember to buy some more selotape.
Must get on.

Evening peeps. Hope you are all well. Managed to get squeezed in at docs yesterday afternoon. So have antibiotics to sort sinuses out. DS and GK's picked me up this morning to go shopping as DS was going to buy DIL's christmas and GK's wanted me to help them get pressies for mum and dad. So had to think of an excuse to get rid of DS whilst they were shopping. Was easy just told him to head of and buy DIL's Christmas and I would take care of kids. Managed to get all the awkward heavy things I needed for myself (biscuits (tins) choccys and wine so that is less for me to be bothering about next week. DS has been deposited at base for night out along with lasagne DIL is going to pictures with her friend and I have GK's for the night. They are glued to the TV at the moment watching the Hobbit. Face is aching tonight but it has been all day because of the cold hitting it. Will be glad when antibiotics kick in and do their stuff.

Morning everyone. Up at the crack of dawn again. Still a bit chilly here. Cars were covered in thick frost last night but seems to have disapeared this morning. Having a cuppa and a few of hours comping before kiddywinks appear asking whats for breakfast gran lol. They want chicken curry for their dinner today. So I am making one for them that DIL can take home when she picks them up in the afternoon. (she is going shopping once she picks up DS this morning). Not had a curry in a little while. May help clear sinuses lol. Take care whatever you are doing today.

It's thankfully not so chilly today but I think we're in for a bit
of rain later on.


Well .... still got loads to do today - but did manage to put
my Christmas tree up yesterday while puddy cat was upstairs
happily sending up the zzzzz's!

Not without mishaps though! One of the branches fell off
(knew I should have bought a new tree ) and I couldn't
fit it back in so turned the tree round to hide the 'gap'! :whistle:

Then puddy came down, went into naughty 'Christmas
tree attack' mode and launched herself at it big time! :eek:



:wave: Welcome back sheils! Sounds as if you both had a
lovely time & bagged yourselves some brilliant bargains. Must
be a relief to finally hear about your dad's op date. ((Hugs))
He'll be back home before you know it! xx

Pleased you managed to get in to see the doc t'other day
rose - hopefully the antibiotics will have kicked in now. xx
Sounds as if you are having a fun time with your GKs! Did you
manage to squeeze in a bit of comping time this morning before
they woke up? I'm getting way behind with my comp catch up -
though managed to get a few done yesterday in between the
chaos!

They are still fast asleep alfie. So had my porridge and another cuppa. Got some comping done. It is raining here now so hopefully pavements will be ok today.

Bucketing down here and set to continue until afternoon. Will maybe get the presents wrapped or do the ironing!

Hope the antibiotics work soon Rose. Must be fun having the gks. I used to love staying at both my grans although I wasn't at the Hamilton one on my own until I was older.

DD put our tree up when she came for dinner the other night. DH sorted out the lights (see below!)
