:hello: Good morning everyone
Lol! Just looking at my pic .... I used to wear a muff in winter
when I was a wee girl, and very warm it was too. Anyone else
have one?
Crikes - after the mild temperatures yesterday we're back to
brrrrr again this morning. It's going to be a mix of wind, rain
and the odd glimpse of sunshine.
Love your sig fire**fly :A ..... I feel so sad for animals bought
at Christmas on a whim (or at any time). _pale_
Mayhew have chosen a similar theme for their Christmas
campaign this year ....
I am NOT an Impulse Buy
As part of our Christmas campaign, ‘I am NOT an Impulse Buy’, we
are raising awareness of the worrying trend of pets ending up in
rescue shelters due to impulse buys. Inspired by true stories, we
worked with Ravensbourne University to produce our Christmas
campaign video >>>

Have a lovely Thursday all and please take care whatever
you're up to. Keep warm. xx

Morning everyone. Goodness alfie you are an early bird this morning. Had a nice few hours with grandkids yesterday after school. It was snowing when I picked them up so instead of walking home we got the bus (three stops) . Alfie I had a muff. Loved it. Had a sunday coat as well with matching fur on the collar. We are to have more snow here today so not planning venturing out. Will try and finish Christmas shopping online. Only have sis and dil to buy for and the odds and ends which I can get when I go to shops. Food shop and my contribution to xmas dinner can be done next week. Hope everyone has a safe and lucky day.0

Morning, i did get my tree up so all looking festive in the house now.We didn't have any snow here, but did have a little sleet. We have some painters at work and they come from North west london and they still had snow on their van. They said it was bad up there and driving down they hit snow showers.I am around 100 miles away from where they come from so must have been bad. I use to wear a muff in winter Alfie and yes they were warm. I have today off so must get on with wrapping pressies. Hope you all have a good day.0

Goodness was just coming back from shop after getting some milk and suddenly there was the sound of sirens. Stopped dead in my tracks whilst waiting to cross the roadas they would have to pass me. Fire engine came speeding by followed by the ariel unit. So there must be a fire in one of the tower block down next to the town shops. Does not bear thinking about. Two ambulances have just flown by my house now followed by police. Another two ambulances have headed down there.0

Morning everyone. Hope I find you all well. Not to bad here this morning. No snow or ice that I can see. I am an early bird this morning as I have hardly slept. Sinuses are giving me gyp. Feels like I have been hit in the face with a bat and have an awfull headache. Think I am going to have to phone health centre and see if I can get an appointment. Last time they were like this I needed antibiotics to clear infection. Enough moaning lol. Need to try and get a few things done today as DS wants me to make a few huge lasagnes for him to take through to his Christmas party at the Base. They just have an annual eating, drinking and swapping stories evening then somebody picks them up the next morning to take them home lol. His formal evening for them and wives and girfriends is in January once all the festivities are passed. It is a night where they are all in their formal attire and is very upmarket untill they all get some alcohol in to them. Then it goes down market lol. Fingers crossed for everyone for some wins. Take care if going out.0

Another chilly start to the day here - think we're in for another
mix of wind, sunshine and occasional showers.
Sorry to hear that your sinuses are painful again rose. Good
idea arranging for appointment at Health Centre especially if
antibiotics are needed. Good luck making the huge lasagnas

ball!:rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning everyone
Brrrrrr! It's a very frosty start to the day here but the sun
will be peeking through later this morning.
Hope you managed to get an appointment yesterday with your
doc rose. Sending get well ((hugs)). xx
Saw the following the other day on The Wildlife Trusts facebook
page and used it today for my morning post on the Betty thread.
#StrawsSuck
With the festive season on the way, plastic straws will be used in
bulk. Please consider going straw-free or using an alternative, like
a metal or bamboo straw. Plastic straws end up in landfill or our
ocean, damaging wildlife for years to come. Ask yourself, is it
really worth it, for just a few seconds of use? Be a hero this
December and go straw-less #StrawsSuck
.... leading to this:
It's just a little straw, right?
But those small straws add up. We use more than 500 million
plastic straws each day. Plastic can last for 600 years which means
every straw you have used in your life time still exists in some
form.
Pledge to go #plasticfree and when you order a drink say,
“Without a straw, please!" Or, simply bring your own!
