Aww Sheils , how do you feel about it, you must miss them?I am most greatful for every year we get together, I knwo I am most fortunate, whilst I have a large extended family , I keep myself to myself they are all a bit shall we say opposite to me and leave it that way..and hubby only has his dad brother and sil , no mum or cousins , auntys (both his mum and dad are/wehre only children) So really i think we have a small family..before I know it the weens will have fled the nest . Making the most of it xx
Euro...and here I say I am so glad my toddlers days are well and truly over, although brother now has 17 month old and an 8 week old and keeps asking me to have them, even though 17 month old screams at me and hubby and doesn't want to be left with us, hardly baby proof here either , but of course if t comes to it , i would..I forgotton how exhausting it is , I had 3 in just 5 years closest was 2 years apart ha ha ..crazy ladies
Afternoon Firefly. It is freezing here wind is blowing down the chimney brrr. Best go and wash up that will warm my hands up at least. Lunch is done ..hope to mop up the last few end of day in a mo then start on end of the month ones. Plus try to do some of the week hubbys off.
And on the note of hubbys/partners he has given me or rather told me to keep on with the comps and surveys like a part time job , I think he recalls what it was like 6 years ago when I entered it made me so happy..silly really hey?
Anyway have a lovely day I am off to try and remove my downstairs loo myself ! Not scared I did most of the house diy , tiling, light fitting wiring and rough plastering the walls in each room , so much work ha haCompers challenge 27/70

I tip my hat to you Mummy2! The thought of having another right now fills me with terror! haha, they are lovely of course, but such hard work! Having two young ones must be even harder!!
Totally understand not wanting to babysit when the 17 month old is like that. We have the opposite problem in that I think she'd happily walk off with any stranger in the supermarket if they just smiled at her, and especially if they offered her cheese/sweets/chocolate! I'm going to have to do some stern talks about not going off with strangers!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
:hello: Good afternoon everyone
Crikes - late in today.I was in the middle of preparing my
post for the Betty thread this morning when someone came
a-knocking on my door. It was the lovely guys come to trim
my trees - totally forgotten about them!  I do
usually write everything on my calendar by the phone but on
this occasion I forgot.Anyhow, they finished late morning
and all the trees are looking mega smart!
It had been a beautiful sunny day here but it's beginning to
cloud over and feeling a tad chillier now too. Brrrrrr!
 Hi sylv - lovely to 'see' you - knew you'd be having a
busy time especially with Xmas just being round the corner!
Your celebration family meal at an Indian Restaurant sounds
absolutely brilliant. :T
I had a wonderful weekend .... my lovely son :grinheart came
to stay and we always have such a laugh together!
We were FaceTiming my daughter & co and gorgeous rainbow
baby is blossoming! She weighs a very healthy 9lb 13oz now -
most definitely takes after her daddy - huge appetite!
Son-in-law is back at work now so we all decided that as
Xmas was so close (and we always have a huge family
festive get-together) that we would wait until then to
have cuddles with baby.
My other granddaughter is being a brilliant little helper and
when mum was busy in their kitchen preparing lunch, having
left baby fast asleep in her crib - the little 4 year old appeared
at the door holding the baby (luckily the right way up ) -
just to see what mummy was up to! :rotfl::rotfl:
Thankfully baby was fine and still sending up the zzzzz's -
my daughter had a 'gentle' word in the little one's ear (cos
she only thought she was helping being a big sis etc).
Bless. :A Apparently she was actually holding the baby
quite well - still don't know how she managed it though!
You're sounding wonderfully organised for Christmas
mummy2threeboys. :xmassmile Remembrance Sunday
is certainly time to reflect and give thanks to all those
brave souls who fought for our freedom. :A So many
lives lost though then and now with ongoing unrest
in the world. _pale_
I watched a wonderful progamme on the TV yesterday
with my son 'Women at War: 100 Years of Service'. :A It
was so very interesting - a compilation of various key
moments from last week's documentary series.
I hadn't realised that mice are not keen on the smell of
peppermint sheils!
Any sign of the little critter now or has he scarpered?
I think we've all been there with the 'witching hour' at
some point re kiddies euronorris and for me it was
definitely just before bedtime with my two! The more
tired the were the more 'being naughty' kicked in!
Thankfully it was just a phase and they both grew out
of it!
Well had best get on with my mega huge comp catch up -
haven't done any for a few days now!
Have a lovely rest of the day all and please take care
whatever you are up to.

Hope everything went well for DH FF. We are still waiting on my dad's big op and dreading all the hospital visits as it is so far away.
Seemingly spiders don't like the peppermint smell either so could be buying lots of peppermint oil in the future. Making do with MacLeans toothpaste and some cooking stuff just now as can't find any in our town.
Yes make the most of Xmas when they are young Mummy2.
We had so many great Xmases, just the 6 of us. There are no little ones in our family and most of us get together for a buffet either before or after Xmas. DD who is 18 still loves it though and expects a stocking etc! Her BF will be here after he visits his family too. He has a 10 year old sister he adores so he wants to spend time with her first.
Alfie, I remember my 3year old DS1 picking DS2 up as well. He was used to nursing him and didn't realise he wasn't supposed to lift him himself. TBH he was perfectly capable of it. No sign of mouse so hoping I have blocked his entrance and upset his sense of smell! Lived in this house for 35 years and never had one in it before.
Euro, routine is the answer to having more than one child! I remember feeling really smug at getting my 2 youngest off for a nap at the same time every afternoon. I worked when I had the first 2 so it wasn't as easy I must admit. I was lucky that they all loved their sleep so was seldom up with any of them.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

:hello: Good morning everyone
Thought I'd post in here early'ish today and then have a good
crack at comp catch up because yesterday I didn't actually
get round to doing any!
Many thanks for the freebie links mummy2threeboys - have
entered them so fingers n' paws crossed!
How did the removal of your downstairs loo go?
Must admit that I'm really into DIY myself - will have a go at
anything within reason .... erm except climbing up ladders to
tackle the topping of fairly tall garden trees (after a slight
mishap with the ladder on my part) which is why I now get
the experts in to do the job!
Talking of DIY I must carry on with decorating my lounge else
before I know it Christmas will be here and it'll still not be
finished!
Hope everything went well with DH re hospital visit yesterday
fire**fly. Lol at your spiders having to look for a new home
after your sweeping the shed clean!
I have rather a handsome spider  positioned outside
my abode right in front of my lounge window - he spends
the day just watching and waiting for unsuspecting morsels
to fly his way!
I'll have to move him eventually cos I need to prune the
shrub his web is attached to. No doubt he'll swiftly rebuild it
though once I'm done.
Well - time for a cuppa me thinks. :coffee: Have a lovely
and lucky Tuesday all and please take care whatever you
have planned.

Looking nice again here although supposed to rain tonight.
No sign of mouse again so fingers crossed he didn't like our house. Keeping peppermint smell going anyway incase he comes back for another look.
Good luck with the decorating Alfie.
Not sure what we are doing today but need some food shopping so will probably walk down to Tesco this morning. Might try a bit of gardening too.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.
