Alfie what is the Betty thread? Woman at war sounds up my street will keep an eye out. I am excited about a new Archeology program starting soon , (We are part of the Youth Group side of it)
Sheils Do you know when Dads op is? Must be a real worry for you , Does he have a good support network besides you? xx
Loo removal went bad ..The stop !!!! is frozen on , not even hubby and a hammer could move it. Had a quote from friends dad £900 to remove loo, wall, a stepped up floor to loo, and skim all over, Was happy with that , a useable kitchen!
Indie well done on the win and washing. With a family of 5 and no dryer it's always a blue moon when I get to the end of both baskets!
Two small wins today Dairy of a wimpy kid book (son loves them) and a paper cutting die sil will be happy.
Oh and another "win" Hubby fixed a couple of small things on an older ladies car for her to get it through the mot without charging , she came back with cream cakes for us allTrust me when I say treat tips are very much appricated in this family
Hospital appointment and Rochester Cathedral workshop tomorrow , looking forward to one and not the other that's for sure.
Have a great evening all , keep well xCompers challenge 27/70

It's on in London next Monday. Something quite different.
Tomorrow we are going to an Italian restaurant. There's a looking demonstration, some Italian food to eat and goodies to take home. I have paid for tickets at 20% discount.

Well done on win Indie. Nephews will love it. Often think of them. Hope you had a rest today.
Firefly hope DHs appointment went well. Take care in this cold weather.
Alfie your GD will be very big when you see her and taking notice of what's going on. Lo at her sister expect your DD was really shocked.
Mummytothreeboys you are well organised for Christmas. I've been trying to be better irganised this year and am more ahead than ever with presents. Well done on your wins. I'm not into DIY so am awe of anyone who is. Thanks for links. It's great to have friends in the forum. Comping can be very relaxing.
Euronorris you forget how tiring little ones are. The GS we looked after three days a week is now 6. We found it really hard when he stopped having a nap in the day.
Often looking back I don't know how I managed we had two girls and then a boy when first girl was just four. DD1 was very active and DS hyperactive.
None of ours had to work over Bank holidays so they came home for Christmas. DS was in America for nine years and when they had children it was skyping to watch them open presents. Last year his two were here and with their cousin it was hectic but great to have them. I think they will be with their mother this year.
Sheils DS came home with us and when he saw mouse trap, still not caught one, we had to tell him we had at least one. Having said that haven't seen one for a week. So hoping... thanks for the peppermint tip. Will get some.
Hope your father doesn't have long to wait.
Good luck this week everyone.0 -

Sounds like lots of peeps are well organised for Xmas - well done!
I'm not but don't have that much to buy. Will get few things at weekend at Metro Centre. The Hobgoblin tankard arrived today and it is quite nice so wrapping it as a surprise for DH. It is glass which I prefer.
Hope you find some nice presents 3for. enjoy your day off.
There is still no word of my dad's operation, thanks for asking everyone. One of my sisters phoned up and there are 8 people in front of him and the surgeon who does it only goes to Carlisle every 5 wks so not looking good. Don't understand why they said it was urgent and would be done quickly. (sigh) He isn't on the list for the end of month either.
I have 2 sisters mummy2 and one is very close to my parents so it isn't just me.
How do you manage washing for 5 without a drier mummy2? I couldn't manage for 2 of us. Mind you we get a lot of rain here!
You really cheered me up about the spiders FF!!!! We haven't seen any about yet but DD has had loads. Hoping my peppermint will keep them out too.
Hope you feel better soon Alfie.
Well done on the wins leanfun and indie and anyone else I have forgotten about.
Must get on - be lucky .

Has anyone been watching 'Gone to Pot: American Road Trip'?
I'm really enjoying it - the final episode is on Friday.
It's a fascinating insight of the use of the drug Cannabis in
the USA. The group are taken to some parts of the states
where Marijuana is now legal - for both recreational and
medicinal purposes.
Have to say their psychedelic coach is amazing - fairly takes
me back to my hey hey hippy days!

Beautiful day here, hard to believe it is November!
Found the Xmas cards I bought in the sale last year and quite pleased I only have one card left to buy. Have been naughty and booked another night at Gateshead (using points so free) and a sale night at BW hotel near Sunderland (will get CB, bonuses etc so really cheap!)
Still no sign of any more wins here.
