The Compers Inn (part 47)

Wasn't a very nice start but sun is out now. Yesterday was really nice too and quite warm.
Seem to be having a busy time, missing our breaks!
Mum's meeting went fine, now have to wait and once all information from scans , tests etc are put together we will get a diagnosis. It was handy DD being there. Dad goes tomorrow to find out if and when he will have his operation which is supposed to be urgent and they have taken a month to call him in for pre-op thing. Between family and parents we are suddenly being kept busy.
Maybe get an odd comp done now.

Sheils Thanks sweetie will give the jiggery pokery techy stuff a go at the weekend! Glad your mums meeting went well, I find stress always seems to rush together and then suddenly everything relaxes, like fate likes to kick you when your down, but when things are good they are very good..well how it works for me anyway. Lovely you have a son who cooks, is he a chef then? I always feel it's very important to teach from a young age
Alfie Yuck In your wellies and coat  Thankfully nothing like that here! I used to have chickens rescue barn kept ones and one white one which breed alludes me. The white used to pick on the other ones, think she needed another white really, the barn rescues wherein a terrible state when we got them, and they were supposed to be better condition than caged. sadly we lost 3 of them when a fox came in the middle of the day and killed them, so upset I just couldn't face going on with them and ricking it again so They went to live on a massive free range resue farm. I do miss the funny girls and so educational and intelligent very misunderstood.
Pumpkin tour went well with as predicted only half bothering to turn up at least they all contacted me. One at last minute couldn't come because she was frightened of the wind..it wasn't blowing at all!
Today we went to a pizza making workshop at Frankie and Bennies which was very boring but woo for free pizza x3 !
Have a good night xxCompers challenge 27/70

:hello: Good morning everyone
Loved your pic yesterday fire**fly - very seasonal!
My goodness we had some heavy rain yesterday evening
and throughout the night!
Now apparently a weather bomb (Storm Brian) is due this
weekend (particularly affecting South Coast region)
and we have a weather warning in place cos it's going to be
a tad windy!
So pleased that your mum's meeting went well sheils. xx
Hope you enjoyed your scrumptious meal yesterday cooked
by DS3. Love the sound of cheese souffles with the fancy
sauce.
It's actually 'International Chefs Day' today and thought
your DSs may be interested:

They have a brilliant theme this year ....
'The superhero trend is a global phenomenon for boys and girls
alike. Our interest in superheroes continues into adulthood so
everyone can enjoy this theme together!
To make eating and preparing healthy food fun and exciting for
kids, we will communicate the ‘superpowers’ (benefits) that
healthy foods have. Benefits that will keep kids strong, healthy
and feeling like the superheroes they love.'
Love that you kept rescue chickens for a while
mummy2threeboys. :A I agree with you - the girls are
always very misunderstood!
The chickens my daughter and family keep are so funny to
watch and have individual personalities! They're allowed to
run freely during the day (when the family are there to keep
a beady eye on them)and at night they all snuggle up
in their cozy coop.
They're all very cheeky! One is extremely bossy and chases
the dogs around the garden. :rotfl::rotfl: Big brave ginger
tom is actually very wary of them! The girls most
definitely rule the roost!
So pleased that the pumpkin tour went well even though
there were some (as you predicted) that didn't turn up. Lol
at the one ringing to say she couldn't make it because she
was frightened of the (non existent) wind! :rotfl::rotfl:
Really love hearing all your stories - they always give me
food for thought and also a good chuckle!
Well must get on - have a lovely and lucky safe day all -
please take care whatever you're up to.

Good Morning,
hope the weather won't be too bad for you Alfie. We are due to get some wind tomorrow I think. We had our fair share of wind earlier in the week but funnily enough there wasn't that much rain. Thanks for link, will tell DS3. Yes you could have eaten our meal last night as no meat in it for a change. It was lovely but very filling. You always think souffles shouldn't be but they are. DS2 made us a chocolate one once and it was really good too.
Mummy2threeboys, I have 3 boys too. Two of them are chefs so we do get well fed sometimes when we see them! The oldest is an accountant in Sydney. Have a daughter too who is at Uni doing mental health nursing.
Know what you mean about stress. So many things happening just now not to me but to family and friends. I worry about things!
Hope everyone is well and has a lucky day.

Thanks all thrilled , and thanks again firefly xx
Alfie..The funny thing is so many people think they can't get chickens because they have cats like you say they are the bossy ones..mine where like "What the hell is that" and run off because the birds went after them lol. Last night was woken at 3am by Cat with a need to have a poop , she had an upset tummy and I forgot to bring the litter tray in from outside (when I rinsed it out) So there I was cleaning up cat dihorea whilst the world slept on , She seemed upset and embarrassed , does anyone else think pets show very human like emotions?
Shiels two chefs..you lucky thing ! How wonderful what your dd is doing, mental health nurses are far and few between and can only get worse now due to the lack of bursaries ,, I wish her well and a wonderful time at uni.
There was me saying there isn't any wind , fell asleep at 12 .I was reading a book, and out of nowhere came all this rain and high wind, was so windy I was suprised there wasn't any damage this morning!
Keep safe all , happy weekend xxCompers challenge 27/70
