Best Win of 2019 - Forest Holiday0 -
Hi Rocky2 and thetoothfair welcome and good luck to comping.
Just been reading back. I've had problems with iPad battery not charging then we took DS home on a Friday and the wifi was down there. He's feeling quite a bit better from cold but still has a cough. Saturday was a very windy wet day and with no wifi I managed to read a whole book.
We had a good journey home last night and DD1 has just dropped GS off on her way to work. English half term.
Sheils felt hungry reading about your DS's meals. Great to have him home. Pleased to hear your DD is doing well. It's a hard profession. My mother did the same training in a completely different era.
mother2three boys well done on your brilliant win. You seem very busy too.
Hope you are feeling better.
Indie well done at work. Hope you have a few days rest now.
Thanks for pics Firefly.
Hope alls well Sylvia. Expect you are busy.
Lo about pets Alfie. I'm not a pet person but know they can be good company. My neighbour, who is now by herself, has a doppy dog that is keeping her going.
Wingo hope you enjoy half term and a rest.
I've had a few small wins. On Friday I had a letter saying I'd won a DVD about Scotland. Came home to some mosi men cards for the GKs and a very welcome Molton Brown shower gel sample.
Nearly forgot also had an email winnning some tickets for the Stylist Show at Olympia in November.
Hope everyone is well. Be Lucky.0 -
Morning! Hello lovelies newbies, sorry can't help re not get confirmation emails, is it a message service that catches a few different emails or just one for that email? I use gmail which now has to take in an old tiscali and Blueyonder email , the blueyonder stopped working and I had to reset the pop/imap settings (yes pretty clueless) Maybe it's a delay or setting thing? Good luck anyway with the comps hope you get it sorted.
Alfie..That poor catVery much like that lol
Leanfun..id the ipad sorted? I can't do small things too squinty eyed , I can make the test bigger though I think? Like a kindle? Yay on the book, I do love reading also. Well done on wins! Hoping to win spirit of christmas or the crafty christmas one in london myself Good luck for this week.
Shiels have a lovely overnighter lucky lady xx
Morning Indie and Firefly and anyone else who my memory fog head has forgotton. Have a wonderful day.
I have an emergency appointment Tomorrow at the hospital have been ill for 2 years and despite blood tests they can't find anything wrong so the dr discharged me 6 months ago  Went back still the same and finally after seeing another dr, she referred me for emergency and given me some medication which seems to help. I think I have an inner ear problem, (I was born with an extra hearing tube in each ear) the last two years my balance has been terrible and have often dropped and blacked out with dizziness, (lucky I do not drive!) plus I have increasing hearing problems and tinnitus..and bizarrely a constantly dry mouth. I need to have an mri at somepoint and am terrified As I have claustrophobia. Trying to not think about that and focus on the positives of finally feeling
better.
Huge thing to make me smile. The surprise is it a carpet cleaner or carpet shampoo win turned up at 8.10 this morning. It is indeed the £500 Carpet cleaner  So Am off to thank who posted it now I know what comp I entered lol
Sorry I am waffeling again! Have a great day and lots of lovely luck and love xxCompers challenge 27/70

mummy2threeboys, not sure where you are based, but are there any open/upright MRI's available where you are? Worth asking about, as my SIL suffers with claustrophobia also and she was able to have an open MRI. Think she had to wait for a mobile one to come by her area (she's in Maidstone).
Hope that helps, and that you get the health issues sorted asap.
Nothing much to report here. Had a fairly quiet weekend, with DD saying more and more words. Completely obsessed with cheese! haha. Adored swimming again. It was pyjama week. Raises money for charity, but is also an important lesson for the littlies, to understand what it feels like to be in the water fully clothed and know that they can still move etc, as most accidents happen with children falling in fully clothed. We also played a game of 'egg and spoon' where you have to balance littleun on your hand (keeping other hand close by to catch if necessary). Yeah.....she's heavy. It's very difficult to hold her up like that with one hand. But she was loving it! lol
Entered loads more comps, but haven't won anything since start of October, so having a bit of a dry spell. Oh well, just keep plodding on.
And....I finally put my sewing machine on eBay to sell. After researching the cost of carseats in the next size up for my little one. I want her to be in a extended rear facing one for as long as possible (4 ideally), and they are not cheap! Around £375-£400!!! So, it spurred me into action with getting the sewing machine listed!
I also did a brief video review of our microwave and submitted it to AO in the hopes they'll add me to their review panel and we can get a new one. Ours is fine, but it's actually meant for the blind (bought it in a house sale) and talks through everything and is quite noisy. Would rather have a quieter one, and pass the talking one onto someone locally who needs it more (they cost £220 new!! We bought it for £20!). Fingers crossed!
Oh yeah, and I accidentally set fire to the grill pan yesterday!! Whoops! That'll teach me not to clean after EVERY use! Rescued by hubby who was very calm, whilst I panicked.
Hope you are all well!
Hugs and lucky dust to all!

 Hi and welcome Rochey2. Sending you good luck and best
wishes - happy comping! xxI've had a few small wins. On Friday I had a letter saying I'd won a DVD about Scotland. Came home to some mosi men cards for the GKs and a very welcome Molton Brown shower gel sample.

Crikes leanfun, I'd totally forgotten about half term! Pleased your
DS is feeling better - annoyingly coughs seem to linger for a while
though.
:T Very well done in your latest wins - lovely to return home

So sorry to hear of your ongoing health problems
mummy2threeboys and hope all goes well at the hospital
tomorrow and you can finally get some answers! You must have
felt so frustrated these last couple of years - thank goodness a
different doctor has hopefully started the ball rolling!
I think euronorris' advice about the MRI scan is excellent -
well worth looking into (if available in your area).
:T Yay! Big congrats on winning the carpet cleaner! Well
deserved! :T:j
Have a safe journey to Gleneagles sheils and a lovely stay
with DS2 and gf.
Lol euronorris re setting fire to the grill pan - pleased to see
I'm not the only accident prone one here!
I can remember my two kids years ago doing the very
same thing (as your 'mini me') at their swimming lessons -
re having the confidence to still be able to move in the
water still fully clothed. It makes good sense and at the end
of the day may prove to be a life saver! :T
I hope you get a decent price for your sewing machine - I
had no idea how expensive child car seats are but at least
you'll be confident in the knowledge that she's really safe
and secure on car journeys. Good luck with your microwave
review.
Just seen your last post.... big congrats on winning Little
Dish Halloween 'Play Prompts' and a box of their Go Go treats
for your little one! Perfect timing for Halloween! :T :j
Well - it's still wet here - so no gardening at the mo plus
its a tad dark to start decorating so I had better get on with

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope everyone is ok today - had a fairly busy day
yesterday.
Finally managed to catch up with comps (for the mo)!
Also managed to squeeze a couple of hours out gardening
as the day brightened up and did a bit of decorating too.
Not sure if there are any lovers of tripe (offal) here _pale_
but today is World Tripe Day!

Actually the tripe site is quite humorous especially the ....

In the 1920s, there were something like half a million tripe shops
in Lancashire and an estimated 2,000 tripe shops and restaurants
in Wigan alone!
Plagued by infestations of cockroaches, rats or other household
pests? Simply leave a bowl of tripe out overnight and in the
morning, hey presto, problem solved. The pests are either dead or
guaranteed never to return.
Prisoners of the Spanish Inquisition were forced to either eat tripe
or be burnt at the stake. Many chose the latter.
Tripe juice is an excellent cure for a hangover.
A diet of tripe can increase your libido by up to 400%.
To cure hair loss, simply wrap a sheet of tripe around your head
and secure with a swimming cap. :rotfl::rotfl:
The first tripe takeaway, Tripe Hut, opened in Manchester in 1979.
It closed the following year.

On that note I'll love you and leave you - I'm off for a cuppa!
Have a lovely and lucky day all whatever you have planned.
Stay safe.
