Hope you're all well - very quiet on the weather front here
at the mo - in fact it's a beautiful start to the day.


However thinking of Ireland at this time. Apparently they're
on red alert. Thinks it's been 50 years since their last
storm of such severity. _pale_



Really looking forward to the final part of 'Liar' this evening
(ITV). It's so gripping - I expect I'll be sitting on the edge
of my couch again! :eek:


Best crack on - got a busy day ahead .... have a lovely
start to the week all and please take care whatever you're
up to.

Morning everyone, well done on the wins over the last few days.I have had a busy couple of days at work so off now till wednesday. It's sunny here at the moment so going to try and get some washing out.Hope you all have a good day.

Firefly cinema tickets are great agree it's so expensive now. Mummytothreeboys your boys will love the toy. Great you went on dig typical if something is found today.

Euronorris great your mini me likes swimmingclasses. Brilliant they have these classes daughters have taken grandchildren.

Sadly DS has had a terrible cold all last week. I'm sure he caught it on plane from Glasgow. Yesterday DD1 and I took three GKs to Greenwich. It was so mild. GKs had fun finding conkers. Park and Maritime Museum were packed. Totally exhausting.

Alfie take care with the decorating. Worrying about storm. Somehow in 1987 I remember we slept through the storm. Going to work next morning I remember seeing quite a number of fallen trees. At least that was a night.

Great you had a good time Sheils. Agree we have an amazing coastline.

Morning,

Dreadful looking morning here, so dark and sudden downpours. Waiting on the storm arriving now, looks like it is starting to arrive about 12. Thought we were just on the edge of the worst of it but looks like it is changing direction a bit and going to hit us. Hopefully have blown itself out a little bit when it arrives.

I am looking forward to "Liar" too FF but don't think I will be able to watch it tonight as DS3 is making a fancy meal for us and DD. (as long as we have electricity by then)
Must get on as I have some ingredients to buy for it.

Hope your GS is better soon leanfun.

DD loved the swimming and coped very well with her naptime being pushed later than usual, thankfully. She had a blast. I had to pull myself out of the pool (rather than walk up the stairs) this time, and it was not as easy as I remember it being all those years ago!! haha


Another win arrived this morning, at 7am!! The Tommee Tippee Sangenic Bin. So, that just leaves the Cartoon Network Graphic Novels to arrive.


Strange day here. Very, very mild, a bit windy (nothing like what is forecasted up north), and threatening rain. But....it is so dark and eery looking! It looks like dusk!


Hoping to be luckier this week. Entered loads of comps on Friday night, and Sturday. Not so many yesterday.

Well the last part of Liar was exciting! Had me on the edge of my seat!
Hope everyone well and not suffering in the winds/storm.

Well done on the cinema tix fire**fly :j I took the kids on Friday and booked in for Paddington2 only to be told when I got there it doesn't come out until fri 10th Nov I ended up having to pay for a Lego 3D film which was the only one on and cost me £39

That was lovely to hear you and Sylvia met up again Sheils Hope you enjoy your meal tonight.

I see you're decorating too Alfie. I'm gonna make a start on painting next week and look for wallpaper. I agree about the weather, it's very weird today! Dark one minute, then the sun bright orange because of the wind from Sahara desert and now it's blowing a gale outside! Same day when the storm blew all the trees down yrs ago too!

The lady who was minding our dog while we we are going to bpool for a couple of days has now cancelled and we've already paid her! I'm not sure we can get anyone else short notice. Typical!
Well I was going to comp but I'm too tired so gonna go to bed instead!

Hope everyone stayed safe after the storm yesterday ...
especially all those north of the country. I've just been
watching the news coverage - it looks dreadful.


It seemed surreal here - very eerie and silent - even the
birds were quiet. About midday'ish it was so dark I had
to put the lights on yet outside it felt almost tropical with
the warmth and the sun and sky were a strange mix of
yellow and orange. It was all very unsettling!


We had just a slight breeze and within a couple hours it
was all back to normal and the sun was shining again!


Liar had a brilliant ending, wasn't expecting that to
happen :eek: and I too was sat on the edge of my seat
wingo! _pale_ Did you see that there's to be another series.
Looking forward to it already! :eek:


Well, I was happily decorating yesterday but had to down
tools for a bit cos it got so dark re Ophelia that I couldn't
see what I was doing!


Hope you can find another doggie sitter before your break
in Blackpool - also hope you get your money back from
the woman who let you down!

swimming lesson - and big congrats on pulling yourself
out of the pool! :eek: I wouldn't be able to do that now -
always have to use the steps.

Sorry to hear that your DS has been suffering from a cold
leanfun - do hope he's feeling a bit better now. It sounds
as if you had a whale of a time with your three DKs up
at the park & Maritime Museum - even if it was exhausting!
Took me back when you mentioned about the conkers -

Good Morning,

Wind still pretty bad here but due to die down by about 10am it says.
Our main street in town is closed due to scaffolding from townhall being blown down and tree in church grounds across the road from it is down too but apart from that we seem to have survived unscathed.
DS3 cooked lovely meal for us and electricity stayed on!
Couldn't sleep for the wind last night though. We are all up early as DS3 is going to visit a hotel with an ex-colleague to see if he fancies working there. It has a 3 rosette restaurant so DS3 is interested in seeing it. Unfortunately DH has to give him a lift part of the way though so hope the roads are ok. Been checking the reports and sounds like they have been sorted out. There had been a tree blocking the A75 near where they were going last night.

Wingo, hope you get your dog sitter sorted out so you can get to Blackpool.
Meaning to watch "Liar" tonight as couldn't last night with DS3 and DD here.
