Hope you're all ok. :) It's a bright start to the morning
here and no sign of rain at the mo - hopefully it will stay
away until much later (preferably through the night)! :p

It sounds as if you had a wonderful time t'other day
leanfun. Many thanks for posting such an interesting link
about Eid al Adha. Like you I only vaguely knew of it. It's
so lovely when different religions/cultures can share enjoyment
of everyday life/events. I've never spoken to anyone wearing
a burka either but would not hesitate to chat and while away
the day with them given half the chance. :T

Crikes sylv - I'd forgotten all about the clocks going back
next month! Love the sound of your trousers - you're
    such a talented seamstress. :A

Well time for another cuppa me thinks! Have a lovely day
all and please take care whatever you're up to. xx

Good morning all, its a bit dull here today but who knows there is still time for the sun to come out. Hopefully we may get a good September. Musn't grumble as we have nothing to complain about when you think of all the problems with flooding in Texan and Louisiana which is devestating. Can't even begin to imagine how they must be feeling.

Supposed to be typing up a report for my DD today, thanks when she gets her !!!! in gear and gets over here LOL. Going to cut out a second pair of trousers while I am waiting for her. The only problem with the weight loss is having nothing to wear as I have emptied my wardrobe of everything that is too big to make sure I keep the 3 stone off.

Thanks for the info firefly about WOTV, I noticed this morning that someone in CC has mentioned it too, hopefully it will get sorted soon.

Thanks for the info leanfun it was very interesting to read about.

I expect that you have the garden looking lovely now Alfie ready for Autumn, that reminds me I must get a load of bulbs this year and get them planted.

Going to make an apple crumble today firefly and might try some ginger in that to spice it up a bit. Family coming tonight for a chicken dinner so will go nice after that.

Hope you have caught up with all your washing after your travels Sheils.

How is your leg today Indie, big hugs for you.

    Are you OK Rose?

    Have a lovely day.

    Hi everyone,

Bit late in as I decided to concentrate on doing some comps! As you can imagine I haven't had time to enter many lately apart from a few dailies (which I was lucky on last month) Entered quite a few short break comps :D:D

Porridge sounds nice FF - feeling cold, wet and miserable here and supposed to be the same tomorrow. Think the heating will be on before night time.
Perhaps I should get some thermals like in your pic Alfie!

Washing all done Sylvia and about half the ironing. Meaning to do the rest later............

All this comping has made me hungry so off to get some lunch.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    sheils x

Afternoon peeps. Anyone know if there is a sickness bug going about. Was feeling a bit off then was sick now legs have gone to jelly. Not been in contact with anyone who has been off colour or sick.

Norovirus is going about in various parts of the UK I think - it was up north and in Cumbria. No idea where it is now!

Sorry to hear that you're feeling poorly rose - I've not heard
of any bugs doing the rounds. Could it be due to something
    you've eaten maybe?

Lol - about an hour after my post this morning saying 'It's a
bright start to the morning here and no sign of rain at the mo'

well guess what - it started to rain and has only just stopped
now! Thank goodness I had a good day in the garden
yesterday. :D On the plus side - at least my house has had a
    flipping good clean now! :T

    smileys-household-456173.gif:p

I agree with you sylv - the weather is just dreadful out in the
States and there's also been severe flooding/fatalities in
South Asia. Just awful. _pale_

On a lighter note have a lovely dinner tonight with your
family - love the sound of apple crumble with ginger -
    scrumptious!

Found some 'knit your own' thermals for you sheils but not
entirely sure what the flap could be for :p and how the heck
could you undo all the buttons if you were caught short and
time is of the essence! :D :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry sheils - hadn't realised that you'd posted. Most definitely
do not like the sound of Norovirus doing the rounds! Dreadful
    bug!
