Yes I am very busy, just contemplating tonight's takeaway - probably going for Chicken in Black Bean Sauce which is what your symbol will read in a few years time

as I said before [yawn....] you know nothing of my background so keep your big hooter out of it. Hope you don't get food poisoning tonight....
  • There is some great advice on here from all involved, i think it will really help people to make choices about tattoos.

The most important thing for me is to see examples of work by whoever you want to do the tattoo. A good place to find a reputable artist in in tattoo magazines as you can see the quality of their work in the articles.

'It's the cordon bleu of emotions sonny'
  • I say go for it. I have 5 tattoos and they're still going to be there when I'm 45 so why not. Think carefully (obviously) about what you have and where though...

There's no convincing people that hate tattoos so you're best ignoring them unless you want to be talked out of it.

The kind of ink used now is nothing like what was used 20/30/40 years ago so isn't really up for comparison.

I'm not sure what's so wrong with having a tattoo and being older anyway... but if I had a problem with it I wouldn't have had any ;)

Just, whatever you do, don't get something off the wall, if you have an idea try to design it yourself or at least with your tattoo artist - ideally you'll have some chemistry there so they can really understand exactly what it is you want. Don't keep quiet about anything if you are unsure. I had my tattoo artist re-draw something for me five times before I was happy - and he was happy to do so because he wants me to tell everyone how great he is. I do.

I dont have any tatt's but do have 5 piercings. I want to get one done, but having just graduated form uni and started my first full-time job, I have decided that I am going to get on a proper career path first.

In regards to stamford, you cant judge other people on the decisons they make, it is up to jenny to get whatever she wants on her leg, and if u dont like tattoo's why are you reading this topic? let each person have their own opinion, but respect other poeple's!

When I am old I won't even be able to see them I shouldn't think!- current one is lower back, and the new one will be base of neck!

Be thankful that no-one else will be able to see them- they'll both be covered by saggy flabby skin

  • I cant stand tatoos on women they look awful. my birth mother who is 60 now had some really vile ones done on her arms when she was young of her first hubbys name in indian ink, then she tried to cover them up and they look even worse, she looks like an old roughie. i had mine done when i was 15 {im 39 now} as i wasnt allowed my ears peirced so i had that done instead.

I deeply regret having it done as it makes me look common especially when all the chavs have them done thinking they look cool, what are they going to look like when they are older. Older women who have them done just look very sad as if trying to recapture their youth and the worse thing is they think they look hip. WRONG
