Today I went into Barclays in Hatfield, Herts and asked for an application form as the stand advertising the Premiership card was empty. I was given a form which stated a minimum spend of £1 for zero interest on balance transfers.
Does anyone know if the transfers are free or do they attract a standard fee ???This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
BEWARE !!!
I got a 0% card a couple of months ago. I asked to transfer £6200 from another card on the original application form. Barclaycard decided to transfer £5580 instead which was fine by me (they didnt ask but I wasnt bothered about this).
I couldnt find anything written about the minimum spend so I phoned and was told it was 1p to get the 0% and had no reason to doubt the 0% applied to my card. I spent £1 then got a whopping bill including over £85 interest !! This is much more than it would have been on the card I transferred it from !!
I phoned them and was told I had been put on a different deal because my original transfer was over £5000 - but I had not been asked or applied for any other deal.
So now I am going to have to move it all again >:( !
I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole again !!!!

Don't do that! You applied for and were accepted for the 0% offer. Get them to fix it. They can do this by splitting the BT into separate sums none of which can be over £5K. The cust svc reps have to refer this to the "finance dept" to get this done. When complete they can refund any and all interest (they did for me and I got an extra £10 by way of apology)0

I applied for the original 0%/£1 deal, it's taken ages to come through and surprise, surprise it's the 0%/£50 deal I've been offered. Can they do this? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

No Tim. If you applied for the £1 deal - call Barclaycard tell it and complain. You should still get the £1 deal.
PS. Please can we keep this thread just for locating 0% leaflets. There are lots of other questions and answers eleswhere on this board

Hi everyone, I live in Tonbridge, Kent. Does anyone know if there is anywhere local to me, where I can get hold of one of these forms?
Please help

Couldn't find any Barclaycard salespeople at the Pallasades in Birmingham today. I guess they've gone to ground.

Found the Barclay stand in the Metro Centre Gateshead, and got the £1 per month deal....GREAT.
They are going to be at Cramlington Manor Walk Shopping Centre all month as someone else pointed out. Although they weren`t there on Sat, as we tried! But he who dares wins!!!! and we did!
Thanks for all the great tips, keep them coming.
