Good morning everyone. Thanks to nmlc for starting the thread and hugs to those that need them.

I'm sore and tired after physio yesterday and as it is cold and pouring with rain don't intend to stray further than putting out the wheelie bin.

I need to sort out the fridge and prep some mushrooms and peppers for the freezer so they don't go to waste. I also need to sort out a packed lunch to take to hospital with me tomorrow, I'm getting picked up at 8 and don't expect to be back until early afternoon so will be starving otherwise as I'm not great at eating early so won't manage anything before I go.

Elderly pooch is a bit off colour and was sick after his breakfast. I think he might just have eaten too fast but will keep an eye on him and keep him on light rations for the rest of the day. He's snoozing peacefully in his basket just now so I'm hoping it's just been a one-off.

I had PT this morning. Ouch. My legs are complaining. It's snowing here so I think this afternoons run may be justifiably cancelled:D

Spare room prepped for guest tonight. Just need to pack lunch before i head into town for a course.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts for DS. He's a very good manager, his staff know that he will go the extra mile for them and because most of them are Eastern Europeans he helps them with a lot of things that are not necessarily work related. As a result they tend to tell him a lot of personal things about their lives, knowing that he's interested or will be sympathetic if they need shift changes or time off for family responsibilities and will help if he possibly can (he has even worked the occasional picking shift so that he can give someone time off). I think that's why it's hit him so hard, his staff are not just workers.

The end result for me was difficulty getting to sleep again. I had set my alarm for 8 but turned it off so I didn't get up till 10. I'm trying to reset my clock but it's not working very well.

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes .I have just come back from the hairdressers and on the way to get it trimmed I found a pound on the pavement ,must be my lucky day so it went with an extra 50p tip for my dear lass who trims my mop of hair .bless her I have to go every 6 weeks as it grows so quickly
Just going to have some soup for lunch then afterwards will go to youngest DDs to let the dogs out for a run and will be there until after dinner tonight

and the sun has just come out so its brightened up the day a bit as it had been quite wet and dull first thing

I'm sitting here with turmeric on my face. Its supposed to be anti ageing you see and i'll try anything once.

Only problem is, its stained my hands quite badly and i'm dreading what its done to my face.

I'm going to look like an Umpa Lumpa with white hair.:D

Snoozer, so sorry to read about the family who have lost their Mum, hit and run is so dispicable, I hope they catch who ever did it and throw the book at them. It will not bring their mother back but justice should be seen to have been done.

Just back from Melton. Lidl carpark was full, not many in the shop though, guess everyone was over in the market, its always the same on a Tuesday. I have reduced my Aldi list a bit, bought stuff in Lidl whilst it was there. Also called in Morrison for the few things I get from there, freezers and fridge are starting to fill up a bit.

Spag bol and garlic bread tonight, yum yum.

Snoozer what an awful thing to happen

DGD is watching his favourite programme,and we've just finished lunch.I have a friend visiting this afternoon,my cousin came yesterday afternoon and we had a good catch up.She goes to a sewing club at H....Craft in the morning,then lets her sons dogs out and came straight here so I gave her a big bowl of butternut squash soup and a piece of fruit cake with copious cups of tea.

An easy tea tonight of breaded fish and hm wedges.DS has just rung and said DGD wants to come for tea.So I'd better get onand chop the wedges before my friend comes.

Lainey- I hope everything goes to plan tomorrow for your DMs funeral,I'll be thinking of you xx
