Thank you Natty and Valli for the lists. I'm in again. I got lost after Wednesday last week but small steps!
Get well vibes to everyone feeling ill.
LW Sorry to hear about Jack Spaniel. I am not an animal lover so don't know how you're feeling but do look after yourself and ignore those people who say he's just a dog, I can't believe your friends would be so insensitive!0 -
Afternoon lovelies :hello:
Well today hasn't gone to plan. Woken up at 3am with another dog fit which was a bad one and took me twenty minutes to sort him out and settled down.
Lay in bed, wide awake for a hour...dozed off, then small people came crashing in demanding juice (at 4.37am ). Sent away with fleas in ears but I gave up and got up at half five to make lunches and have a sneaky shower in my own....but...guess what!?! Frozen pipes due to it being -5° outside. I still don't have water yet, which has limited my flying to things I can clean with anti-bac wipes.
All the builders turned up to start the floor, to find the dumpy bags of lime-sand frozen solid and only two out of six über-expensive-to-run heaters in the house working. I changed several fuses and then unplugged an extension lead to discover a blown fuse that had burnt out and melted the socket :mad: Sorted with the help of NDN. Builders unable to start limecrete as a minimum temperature of 5° is required so most went off to another job and two filled in the land-drains with shingle.
And now it's raining...joy...
I have however, eaten a few email/phone call frogs, so not a day totally wasted.0 -

Oh Gilly, keep posting. My anxiety is hovering nearby, threatening to swallow me up if I let it. I force myself to maintain a routine, doing all the things that I would normally do because for me that really helps.
Hospital with DS, so minimal flying but I did give the kitchen some tlc yesterday. Paid stuff to do. I dont want to do paid stuff.0 -

Good evening everyone.
Big sticks here for all those BDs running around. Be gone with you!
I hope you and your DH got some positive answers today, Iona.
Rushed around this morning before going off to paid stuff, only to spend 10 minutes scraping the car. Doors were frozen solid which was fun. And now it is raining. And blowing a gale. Again.
Have managed to get one load through the WM and hung up to dry (who knows how long that will take ), kitchen tidied up, tops wiped, floor swept and recycling out for the morning. Floor mopping will need to happen later in the week. Hmmmm...think I said that last week too! The utility room is a bit of a state again, so that will need some attention, but I've shut the door on it for tonight.
I've got a few tadpoles threatening to grow to full blown frogs. I really am going to have to take a deep breath and deal with at least one this week or they are going to take over.0 -
Good riddance to lurking BDs hope they all do one xx
Could do with something similar here, not for me, but I suspect another BD may be responsible for someone's dealings with me recently...
Sorted a load of recycling here today, sorted kitchen again after dinner, which went a bit Pete Tong but was OK in the end :rotfl:
Tidied my desk. Washed pet bedding. Did some reading and note taking. Sorted DS clothes - for an outdoor day they have planned tomorrow (brrrr) and labelled it all...
Now sat in front of the fire and avoiding doing anything elseBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
