Morning all, full of cold but still feeling positive and optimistic. Weigh in at SW tonight which I am looking forward to, because I'm funny like that.
Not least because the jeans I wore yesterday were FALLING DOWN!
Did my kitchen Saturday so just need to S&S in there.
    Other stuff to do today.

Morning all. Thanks for the list. I'll be lurking.

Hope all the poorlie people and pets improve soon.
Thanks for the wedding link Mrs MP but its too far away for us. We're near York.

Today is paid stuff. I have already taken the dogs out for a walk in the frost and fog and done dusting of a fashion in the LR. Waiting for workmen to arrive, but I won't hold my breath.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Gosh - so many people ill. Hope you all get well soon. I'm recovering from illness and now on antibiotics. Feeling much better but still totally washed out. Working today but day will finish early. My DH has coped very well over the weekend, but the house is beginning to look a bit grubby round the edges. No energy to do anything extra today but I did wipe down the sides in the kitchen this morning!

    Morning,

I had a lot of "stuff" in my kitchen that didn't belong there - mostly DD bits of paper... Anyway it's all cleared now and tidy although the floor needs a mop this week.

Next I'm going to deal with my desk and the hotspot behind it. But a cuppa first!

Then I'm going to get the suitcases down! Hooray. Still a bit virus-ey here but definitely better than it has been. Not going mad today though, will have some study time this afternoon.

  • Just back from the meeting at ds2s college, his legs were slapped (not literally) for poor attendance and late arrivals. He's on a warning hopefully it will shock him into better attendance - slightly annoyed as it meant I've lost a morning at paid stuff and Dh took a couple of hours off to come with us. Absence pattern seems to fit with my extra paid hours which is annoying. Anyhow We can't give him a harder time than the tutor did so we've just made it clear that it's his future and his opputinities he's messing up and we'll draw a line under it and call tomorrow a new day.

Going to have a quick hhc in the kitchen while grabbing a coffee then I'll head off. Will leave my phone calls till after work.

Have a good afternoon all, hugs where needed.

Morning all. Thanks for the lists Natty and Valli and I'm in again this week. The house has to be sort of sparkly by next Wednesday when the dog sitter is staying for a week while we jet off on our hols.

I've dusted our bedroom and the landing, strip-washed the dog who had a grubby undercarriage, changed the superking, made some phone calls, sent some emails and tumbled and put away the remainders of yesterday's laundry. And paid the window cleaners. Now to trot the dog around the block again, and dy*on various bits of carpet before I finish off more paperwork.

I've been flying for three and half years, I think, and the house is slowly, slowly coming together. I had no idea it would take me this long to get it under control. It really was a complete catastrophe but now I can see proper light at the end of the tunnel it feels positive rather than overwhelming and hopeless.
    Better is good enough.
