Welcome to the weekly Flylady Thread. Its been lovely to see some de-lurkers and some newcomers; do please post even if it's just to say 'list completed'
Thank you Natty for last week's thread.
It is your responsibility to read the forum rules, please follow them on this thread as Flylady has been here a LONG time and is a fabulous support and resource for lots of us.
The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon!
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Gibble ~ miscellaneous crap that appears forever homeless
Dot-to-dot ~ pick a small area (not a whole room) like a chair/coffee/table/shelf/worktop or wherever- thats your first 'dot' - totally clear it - clean it - and only put back what should be there - deal with what you have removed (not just move it somewhere else) then if you have time move on and do the same to another 'dot' -the idea is just like a dot to dot puzzle, you aim to join up all the dots and have a tidy room. The trick is to keep each dot tidy until you get them all joined up! All credit to AnW's Mum for this one
RoD ~ Room of Doom, the one room that feels like it is a permanent pit and cannot be used to its potential!

Thanks for the lists Valli and natty I will be in if I can shake off this dratted bug. My eye is still leaking, although if I'm honest not as much, and every so often my nose just blocks completely. I'm just tired of it all.
But, no rest for the wicked, of course! Dancing and football all attended, the latter being a rather *ahem* physical match  DS team won overall but not for want of shoving by the opposition, iykwim.
I've just ironed uniforms and sorted bags. Kids have done some jobs and then added up their extra pocket money - from our "price list".
Lots of holiday organising to do this week, and some college work to try get ahead...
"See" you all tomorrowBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Thanks natty and Valli.
I'm in in in. After pretty much bowing out in January I have a lot of catching up to do. And guests coming. Tuesday - a friend so not white glove treatment, and family on the final weekend for Rugby. White gloves and tablecloths:D
Working tomorrow and then running club and meeting so it will be a swish and swipe. I'll play catch-up Tuesday morning. I need to make the spare bed but the room is fine. As I had a visitor this morning the living/dining room is presentable at least.
DH WFH tomorrow, but his exam is on Wednesday so I'll get nothing much out of him. Although he did change the bed for me this morning.
Enjoy the last of the weekend everyone.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hi all, I am in as best as I can suffering with a sore throat, having lots of work to do, coping with stressed teenagers and a dog with itchy ears and needing to do a 50 mile round trip to the hospital tomorrow.
Going to follow Bossys example and get a few things ready for morning, swish the kitchen and utility room and collapse into bed early.0 -
Thank you Valli and Natty. I'm in too.
DW on, kitchen sort of tidied, floor swept and lunches for tomorrow done. Flopped on the settee now, and no intention of moving until I take myself to bed!0 -
I'm in, thanks for the lists Valli & Natty .
Got loads done today, washing, ironing, hoovering, mopping, tidying, flinging. Feeling good about starting the week, as I don't feel miles behind for once.
I'm still going too! Just pulled a load of carp out from down the side of the sofa /desk (I have been ignoring it as it is all the girls' stuff and you couldn't really see it) and I'm going to sort all that out now, as OH is still working at the paid stuff.
Hugs to all x0 -
I'm in too please. Thanks for the lists!
Spent another two-way hours in the house sorting and flinging. Quite enjoyed it if I'm honest!
Mutley had another seizure this afternoon, poor boy, but DH dealt with it and he seems fine now. Need to get more meds sorted for him tomorrow.
Off to bed now - see you all in a few hours x0 -
Thank you Natty and Valli.
(((Hugs))) and GWS vibes to all in need.
Glad you've got another booking from an old friend, LW.
The wedding dress sounds lovely, mrs-mp - looking forward to a photo.
You deserved a nice break, Narc0. Relieved to hear that m-i-l is OK.
FBO, in case I forget tomorrow, good luck to your DH. Fingers and everything else crossed for him!
I have not had a particularly productive week - too much going on in my head re my DH, I suppose. The Respiratory registrar didn't have any answers for him on Friday, just the promise of more tests, and I doubt that the cardiologist will give us any more solid information tomorrow morning.
We have to be at the horse piddle by 9.00, so I have already packed up some reading material to take with me and am off to bed now.
At least I have no ironing to do0 -
Evening everyone
I'm in and thank you Natty and Valli for the lists
Pleased to see you starting to get some more bookings LW
Super news re the wedding dress Mrs MP
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend Narco
Sorry you still have no info Iona - hope it's sorted t/m

Morning All
I am in, thank you Natty and Valli. Was AWOL a lot last week which isn't like me. I've just been feeling so so tired all the time - DS sleep is still bad, he's suffering bad nightmares - so I am up multiple times at night to settle him. He's 3 in a couple of weeks, hopefully it's just a developmental thing. This too shall pass, this too shall pass....
As a result of being like the walking dead, I have been eating too many sugary things and my waistline isn't happy. Can still get into the 14s... just...
Onto today. Did loads of laundry yesterday including our bedding, so not too much of that to tackle today. Loads of flingage required though (where on earth does it come from?!) and I have quite a bit of paid stuff to tackle.
Big hugs and flylady sparkles to you all - let's all be FAB-U-LOUS this week:):):) xxx
