It's right on the A47 so a busy road. Been on sale off and on since 2010. Been empty for almost 2 years.

If you would offer at all on it, how low would you start?

It will have been reduced many times in those years though, what was their original delusion of it`s worth?

To answer your question you could maybe start at 350k, and move down as they get more desperate.....:rotfl:

It needs serious updating, I agree with the £350K starting price. I do sometimes feel sorry for people who haven't done up their homes over the years then get to an age where they can no longer look after or afford to do it up so have to sell at a bargain price.
  • Crashy has been waiting so long he would probably start at half a crown and a packet of John Player's, so take his advice with a pinch of salt.

Nah, 350k is generous for what is on offer, bit of garden space but next to a busy road negates any real benefit, unless you like sitting in the garden at night.....:rotfl:

To be fair I agree with you at 350k - I predicted you were spouting your usual rubbish and skim read your post before I read the RM link. I wholeheartedly apologise.

Can you explain that, please? Suppose that spending say £X would bring this house up to date. Are you saying that it's discounted by much more than £X? Otherwise, I don't see why it's a bargain price?

I personally would never want to live there, not next to the A47. Given the location, I wonder whether £350k is too much?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • Any vendors that have had their house on the market for 7 years goes way beyond the usual stubborn/greedy/deluded/kite flying... they obviously don't really want to sell.

I wouldn't even waste my time viewing it never mind going as far as putting an offer in on it.

To be fair, they probably paid £3k for it.
