You need to correct a number of typos. We am, Iwejust, to name but two.

Have you mentioned that there actually was a child in the car? Have you said that you don't appreciate someone taking pictures of your twelve year old child by an adult? The press would love that.

It's a bit of a long winded rant in my opinion, but see what others think.

On the subject of photography, generally anyone can take photos of anyone in a public space irrespective of that persons age.
If someone's image is captured by a camera ( ie high quality CCTV) looking on in glee as they buy an ice cream then the person who took the image owns the copyright to that image and can use it for other purposes, ie advertising.
Complaining that they have taken a photo of you/your child without consent is onto a non starter as they are already allowed to do that, just as you can take photos/videos of the police and other law agency staff as well as others in a public space.

Typos as above, need to go through it thoroughly. Far too long - I struggled to stay with it to the end, a busy CEO won't give it much desk time, so you need to hit him hard in many fewer words.

Other than the question as to whether it is the Co-op's contract with NPE, there's nothing self incriminating in it, so safe to send once condensed.

I realise that, but it doesn't hurt to tell the retail manager/CEO you are concerned someone was taking pictures of a minor.

There are enough pa-edo (site auto correct won't print without the hyphen, otherwise it's !!!!!) cases going through the courts to make anyone edgy about issues their agent might bring them, if accused of photographing minors.

Needs a jolt to grab their attention to sort this out. All's fair in war and parking charges! :)

You need to focus on the issue of the parking company, not the photos.
Complain about what matters, not the photos that would risk the store/ppc gong on the defensive, as the store and even the ppc can take photos of whoever they like, and you won't find me standing up for a ppc very often, but in this case using the photos thing is a non starter and will only cause issues . There are plenty of legitimate things to bash the ppc with, as you need to keep them in focus.

I would be surprised if the Co-op appointed NPE. More likely the site managing agents, for a kick-back.

Sounds like Earlham House which is notorious and not owned by the Co-op:

    https://norwich.greenparty.org.uk/news/2016/06/04/stop-heavy-handed-parking-enforcement-at-earlham-house-shops/

Well known scam in the local area for years:

    https://norfolkparkingenforcement.wordpress.com/2013/10/25/2/

    https://www.change.org/p/bellgold-properties-ltd-safeguard-earlham-house-shops-say-no-to-npe-s-heavy-handed-parking-enforcement

''Bellgold Properties Ltd, who own the Earlham House freehold, have contracted NPE Ltd to run parking at Earlham House. NPE Ltd uses CCTV to captures photos of vehicles 24 hours a day and issue numerous parking invoices on unreasonable grounds.''

If it is Earlham House I'm surprised you didn't find the above with a quick Google. It's not the Co-op's fault, they hate this scam.

  • I believe it is the co-op as I was passed on to their person who handles these cases, it was due to people misusing their spaces or something so they got NPE involved. I rang co-op directly and was passed on to their special team.

I will look over the letter again.

I have had a further letter from NPE saying they are looking into my 'appeal' (I sent the standard letter in the sticky) and I will hear from them in 35 days.

I will condense and correct and re-post here for viewing.

Thanks for the support and help.

LOL. They will send a template rejection letter ''offering'' the chocolate teapot of IAS. Do not do that; absolute waste of time as explained in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread.
