Dear All,

I have been sent a fine for the driver parking in a parent & child space for 3 minutes at a local shop near me. My 12 year old was in the car, but due to the time (8pm) it couldn't be seen.

How should I proceed in sorting this problem out? I've had some in the past which I ignored and after time they went away, is there a better way in this instance?

Thanks.

just read the NEWBIES sticky thread and follow the IPC template and advice in there

bear in mind that GRACE PERIODS also apply here, although the PPC wont care

expect any appeals to be rejected , so its send the IPC template , then IGNORE for 6 years

come back for help if you get an LBC or an MCOL in that time

keep copies of the paperwork and the signage (take pictures of the signs etc)

No, no ticket was placed. I got a letter from the NPE a week later.
It has an image of me getting back into the car and a close up on my number plate.

I spoke to the manager of co-op who said call co-op and they will likely waive it, does this sound like good advice?

I will look through the newbies thread - cheers.

Taking a picture or you getting in your car or the number plate
does NOT prove you did not have a child in your car.

I am amazed that the Co-op get into bed with scammers again after the last CEL lot.

    So the OP understands

Contact the CEO and enclose a picture of your son, ask him to cancel the fake charge

You should ask why a person in the car park is taking pictures of women

    It's not a fine!

So basically they have no proof you didn't have a child with you, and I bet the signs don't say you HAVE to remove said child from the car anyway.

    Also grace periods apply anyway.

HARSH TW .... me thinks not... parking tickets are about cars and taking pictures thereof ....... not women getting INTO cars.

You are dealing with a one man band, who uses CCTV. Does not do court, just a lot of huff and puff. Has a Police caution for VAT fraud, this is what you are dealing with. Complain to the council about the cctv.
