Thinking of buying this house.

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying this house. The only thing that's really bothering me is the bathroom with the corner bath and maybe having to move the boiler.

I'd be interested in knowing what you think of it in general. They've had a lot of interest but no takers.

Thanks.

    It's a do-er upper to me.

I'm put off by the hard landscaped garden but that might be your choice. Expensive to change.

    Bathroom needs re-doing.

Some of the walls seem not very thick - I'm thinking no cavities or timber construction?

Query building regs on loft room/ bedroom status, if that's important to you.

All the beams being so dark puts me off - it's cottagey but I don't think original.

But all this compares to £240k buying a tiny one bed flat around here so no idea on value for money in Nottingham!

It's a nice house, though a bit of a mish-mash of styles, I feel like it doesn't quite know what it's meant to be. Great aspect of the field though, I wonder if that is the actual view from the property as opposed to a random local area shot by the EA? As that would be a huge disappointment for me, if upon viewing it turned out that view wasn't actually from the property.

Someone's had a bad attack of the Mock Tudors, and two conservatories, Mr Ambassador, you are spoiling us. I bet the loft "bedroom" hasn't got building regs.

You either live with all the quirkiness or spend a small fortune renovating it to your own taste.

Why the beams? Is it a conversion of some type? That would put me off, though nothing else looks too hard to change.

How much were they originally asking for it?

It's been £240K since it was put on the market.

The current owners and the previous ones paid £240K for it.

I think (in fact, I'm fairly sure) the beams were added. It's not a conversion.

I'm not much of a doer-upper myself, but I strongly dislike the bathroom. Is the road as busy as it appears on Streetview? I liked the rest of it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I don't like the fake beams but it's hardly a doer upper!
