  • Following my pamper session tonight the PP list has shown some drastic improvement all of a sudden.

[STRIKE]Pears Soap[/STRIKE] WMBA but not for awhile as 1 more in stash
[STRIKE]Nivea Cream 200ml tub - 1/3 left but super old tub[/STRIKE] WNBA boring and functional but a pain to rub in.
Superdrug pro vit E Classic shampoo 400ml
Superdrug Exfoliating face mask Cfwd from Jan's PP
Avon advance techniques dry ends serum
    Aussie leave in conditioner
[STRIKE]Clinque smart custom repair serum sample[/STRIKE] WMBA Was nice but not sure I can justify the price at the moment
    Nivea Q10 SPF 15 face cream 50ml
[STRIKE]Lush Never mind the Ballistics [/STRIKE] WBA but not for a while, prefer the comforter bubble bar
Baylis & Harding Showergel 500ml - OH being heavy handed only appears to be less than half left already.

Also UU a bottle of Corsydol Mouthwash.

Have grabbed a tube of B&H Hand lotion to use up to get rid quickly and currently deciding if I want to use the other pears soap or treat myself to a slab of igloo ohhhh decisions.... decisions:rotfl:

    Hi all,

I would like to join you please... have been lurking in the threads for some time and I feel like I need some group support to get my shopping under control. I'll write up later on how big my stash is, here's my list of items I would like to UU in February:

    - body lotion Garnier Urea (have had it for approx 2 years, little left but takes AGES to UU)
    - Neal's Yard Bee Lovely hand cream (I use it at night and there's prob a week's worth left)
    - Hydraluron serum
    - Olay moisturiser and serum in 1
    - Philip Kingsley flaky and itchy shampoo mini
    - Nivea creme care shower gel
    - Superdrug vit E exfoliator (so harsh! WNBA even though it does leave my skin smooth)
    - Superdrug vit E wipes (my favourite wipes, alongside Simple KTS wipes the only ones I still buy, and I have tested a fair brands / types)

All this should be gone by end of February. Have a good month all!

Welcome Zuzi! This is a lovely, supportive thread and not too enabling. ;) I think the Dec 2010 thread was the first thread I posted in on MSE.

Writing up your stash is an optional activity but will possibly be a good way of highlighting where your problem areas are. I did a mental list when I first joined.

As regards buying stuff, I am very much in control of things, but I get offered free items to review from various sources, chiefly Am @ zon.
My stash is an odd mix of high end stuff (e.g. Gatineau, Murad), established names (particularly Olay, L'Oreal, Garnier, Mitchum) and bargain buys (Aldi Lacura mostly)

I didn't know there was a Garnier Urea body lotion, not that I need any body moisturiser, cough, but urea high in a list of ingredients is a good indicator generally.

I've used the £42 eye gel sent to review for several days, here's an early verdict.

L'Oreal have a new anti-dandruff Elvive shampoo out, new to me anyway as I don't browse shampoos and conditioners. Here are the verdicts of the Normal shampoo

    UU
Beyonce Heat Rush Energising Shower Gel 75ml - I really liked the scent and it lasted a while despite its size. Have replaced with Beyonce Heat Kissed shower gel.

Will have a pamper session tomorrow and hopefully use up some of the other stuff. :)

Another UU from last night I forgot to mention:

Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Shaving Gel - WMBA. I like this, it does the job.

    And one TA as well:

I Heart My Lips Raspberry Fizz lip balm WNBA. It's setting off a cold sore on my bottom lip, so out it goes.

    Welcome Zuzi & getting-there-slowly.

    I have a uu

Embryollise Lait Creme Concentrate 75ml - this is nice but liquid paraffin is the second ingredient so WNBA but I have got out another tube of the same to replace it as I bought 2 at the same time.

morning all - I seem to be very slow on the UU this month - must try harder!

UU: Redken cleansing cream shampoo - WDBA I use this once a week to get rid of build up in hair and then follow by a deep conditioner. I have a cheaper own brand in the stash to try as a cheaper option.

IN: been sent a HASK moisture shampoo to trial and review - we will see

  • Went into Boots and a department store today to smell a few fragrances and have brought home test cards - but no purchases :D

My Milton Lloyd EDt's arrived today though, so 9 to add to the collection. I couldn't resist at less than £27 delivered.

    Fame and Glory
    Aroma Di Jean
    Success
    Bondage
    Bondage Temptation
    Pure Gold
    America Legend
    America Gold
    Top Gun

I didn't do an inventory in the end. I have nowhere near the amount of things that some have on here ( as in different things). I don't have make up etc.

    4 x handwash
    6 x Shower Gel
    14 x EDT
    3 x Moisturiser
    5 x Toothpaste
    21 x Deodorant Sprays
    3 x Deodorant Roll Ons
    1 x Bubble Bath

Is the jist of it all. Of those 21 deodorants, I think half must be at the end, so must use them up so I can finally say - UU!

I'm sure this has been mentioned many times before but i'm newish and haven't read it (forgive me if it's clear to see) but the lady in the department store told me to put the tester strips from perfume in the hoover and it spreads it around the room when you hoover - going to test it later in the week when i've finished with the strips.

  • Hi everyone, I'm in again for February. How is it the 6th already?

    Welcome newbies!

I keep my PP list on my dressing table, this helps me to remember to use things each morning. I'm hoping for 10UUs this month. Lots of splutterers already including a Sunsilk Straightening Hair Creme which I know full well I bought in 2005.

I was thinking about the improvements I've made since lurking on and then joining the thread. I have graduated in: facial moisturiser, serum, deodorant, foundation, shampoo & conditioner. I only have six items which are more than 11 years old. I still have a huge stash but I feel like I have a plan for most of it.

Re items over 11 years old. I've often thought that use by dates are hyper-cautious. I think one of my lipsticks is about 23 years old and it's still usable. I also have a small amount of Sudocrem in a pot my late friend gave me - I think the use by date was about 8 years ago, the label went sometime in the Noughties.. !
Those are exceptions, and yes, stuff does go off, or the containers degrade, but generally I don't pay much heed to 'use-bys.' 'Best before' would probably be more appropriate for the majority of toiletries and cosmetics.

I have to agree with you, I'm still using stuff from 2014 and I'm very much if it looks ok and smells ok it's ok to use :)
